Museum Daly Mansion reviews
9Great host location for the Celtic Games. Closest to being in Scotland without traveling there.
Me and my fiancé visited the Daly Mansion for the Celtic games, it was such a beautiful place, and the staff there is absolutely amazing and super friendly as well!
Very comprehensive nearly 2hr tour- very enjoyable and I’m so glad some of the original furnishings are finding their way back to the mansion. Loved the stories and learning about family members of the copper king. Such a beautiful place and quite the renovations- so beautiful.
I've been to the Daly Mansion a few time, during my childhood, but this time my cousin had her wedding there at it was simply stunning!
Loved the museum for the vision that the owners had over 100 years ago. This shows what legacy means and what a person can leave behind in form of trees, layout, buildings, and designs.
The Daly Mansion, or Riverside, was the summer home of Copper King Marcus Daly, his wife Margaret and their 4 children for 70 years. It survived 40 years of neglect before a Daly Mansion Trust was formed to save and restore the Mansion to its former glory. The grounds of the Mansion are part of your step back in time, with sweeping ash trees, maples and oaks are part of the grounds Daly planted himself. The 25 bedrooms contain many of the original Daly pieces and as you wander through, either by self-guided tours or with knowledgeable volunteers, you learn more about the Daly family, their history and impact on our Nation's history. Thank Mrs. Daly for sharing her home with you the day you are there, and don't think twice about making a donation to make sure your experience at the Daly Mansion is available to future generations.
Wow what a spectacular venue for a wedding. I've been there and I have been through the mansion before. But this was a new experience with how well the wedding was. Two enthusiastic thumbs up for the daily mansion and it's staff.
Pleasant time wandering thru mansion seeing all the old furniture and clothing. The grounds are beautiful and all is kept up nicely. Employees very friendly and knowledgeable.
So much interesting history presented by helpful and enthusiastic volunteers. The grounds are so peaceful and lovely. The house is fascinating and full of original artifacts and beautiful restorations. Don't miss out on a tour. It really helps understand the people and history here.
