Downstream Campground reviews
16Quiet campground. Large campsites. Clean bathrooms and showers. Over 2 miles of paved walking trails.
Nice place, lots of campsites. Bath houses are nice. Great walking paths, awesome playground with basketball court and volleyball court
Big, mostly back RV sites. Shaded with electric available on site and plenty of water available around the campground. Two playgrounds and a couple of minutes to drive to the Fort Peck Interpretive Center, which is free and worth the visit.
The facilities are quite clean. The showers are warm and the bathrooms appear to be cleaned daily. Most of the sites are shady. The place was full, but as far as neighbors go, there wasn't much nuisance. I'd recommend this campground.
Big sites. Clean bathrooms. Trees and playgrounds. On reservoir. Go to the interpretative center which has damn history and dinosaurs. Was very hot when we were there so electric was appreciated to run AC. Trail around campground as well. We were overwhelmed with hornets so that was disappointing.
Stayed here for a few days on our way to Glacier National Park. We tent camped for 2 days with 3 kids but 90 percent of people here are using RVs. No problems with space or loud campers which was nice. We loved the history of the dam and the museam which is great for children. Never heard of this place and came upon it by luck so I'm so grateful we stayed here.
Sites are electric only, with water available at points throughout the campground. Most sites are extremely large with great separation. WiFi at the office only. Dump station is located close to the campground.
New bathhouse opened in 2021. Facilities are clean and well kept.
Seniors eligible for 50% discount with federal pass. Great value for seniors. Reservations required.
Great Find. Very clean campground. Sites are very large, potable water is available. Nice trail surrounding the campground and some of it follows the Missouri River. Great Interpretive Center within walking ️ distance.
Very nice. Like an oasis in a remote part of Montana. Just wish the fishing would've been better!
It's a pretty campground and offers dry camping and FHU at a reasonable price, but it's not on the water. You wouldn't even know the Missouri River is there. There are other, smaller campgrounds nearby, albeit without hook-ups, that afford great views and access to the water (either the Missouri or Ft. Peck Lake).
While they did not offer water on the sites, the place is beautiful. It's clean, shady, well managed and we paid $18 for one night with electricity. Kids can walk to fishing areas from the campground. What a hidden jewel.
Clean site with generous spacing. Bathrooms/showers were accessible and clean. Low noise. Absolutely beautiful stars.
The campground itself is nice and there is plenty of space. The electricity stinks. They really need to get all of the boxes upgraded. I have yet to be on any of the 30 amp box sites that will stay on. Very frustrating on these hot days and you can't have the AC on.
Nice campground with lots of little "side" activities to keep everyone happy (fishing ponds, playgrounds, etc.). Great rates too. Definitely need more and cleaner restroom facilities though. The campground was full when we were there which didn't help that situation.
Very quiet, lots of room between camp sites, no water or sewer hook up, but power at most sites. I liked it!
We spent two nights at this peaceful campground!
We have a 27 foot trailer- spots are spacious. We had no electric issues with our 30 amp hookup!
Thanks for a great stay!
