Restaurant Emigrant Outpost reviews
18Service was fast, accurate, and friendly. Burgers were hand patted and off the chain good! Best little place I've found in Montana, thus far. Definitely recommend
I had the bison burger and it was amazing. I had onion rings on the side and 10/10 recommend.
Fantastic! Pizza crust was crisp with the right amount of chew. I had the veggie, no cheese, plus sauerkraut and sriracha. It was great. A few in our party ordered the gluten-free crust. After discovering they had sold out, they whipped up GF shrimp tacos that were fabulous. Good selection of draft beer and the bartender made a nice Old Fashion.
We were in Chico on a Tuesday night and looking for something within 20 miles that was less than $100 a person. This was about the only choice and we were so glad we ended up there.
Our local go to spot for a quick drink or fun evening. Shannon is our favorite bartender, but we also swing by while Chad is working. You can't beat the K Bar pizza available in the valley. Cheese are the best around.
A joy to discover.
Excellent quality food made with pride and love.
Above all, staff worked well as a team. Energy was great
This place deserves your business
I'm very glad I discovered this place!
Great service. Great company. We found this place open on Christmas Day while driving around and exploring, and it was the perfect place to be open on Christmas Day. Enjoyed the people, conversation, drinks, everything. Thank you guys, from Texas.
The service was okay. The waitress was nice, made sure we had refills. The food however…. I ordered a pizza and it took a long time to be brought out. We heard the cook screaming from the back, complaining about the orders coming through and using foul language. The pizza came out and looked like an oil spill. Pools of oil were covering the pizza. It tasted worse than it looked. All I could taste was the sheer amount of oil on this pizza. The cheese had no taste, the sausage had no taste. It was gross.
This was a fabulous little restaurant, so glad my friend found it on our late season Yellowstone visit! Staff was amazingly friendly and the food was SO good! Will be back!
My wife and I came in for lunch and got a free Thanksgiving dinner. Made our day. The owner and staff where great. Love this place
Stopped in after a day at the park. This place had gotten good reviews so we decided to try. Did not disappoint. The bartender/server Chad was awesome and Shannon, the magic behind the food, came out and asked how everything was. Bison burger with bacon was delicious. Garlic fries and onion rings, some of the best. Full bar, pool table, and good music. Will definitely be back!
Portions were large. A little pricey for salads. Chad is a bit high strung for such a small bar.
The best Caesar‘s salad I‘ve had in along time! The prices are good for such big portions.
Chad is a great mixologist!
Shannon did a fantastic job on the food.
Chuck the owner even sat down and talked history of the surrounding areas. Great place to have a pizza, beer or a nice ribeye steak! ️️️️️
A rustic Western saloon vibe makes this a fun restaurant. The service is usually good. I really liked the pizza here, but they do not always have it available. They don't serve pizza on Mondays and then they only have it after 2: 30, if the cook shows up. We drove 30: miles to get here, and it has been frustrating to show up wanting pizza and it's not available. They suggested we call ahead. We tried, and no one answered the phone. Other dishes that a very good are the fish and chips with tater tots and hamburgers. Our friends really like their salads. I referred one friend here, and was disappointed to hear they were treated rudely. We have always had good service and enjoy coming here.
A great bar with a kitchen. Our food was great. Our server was challenged with running the entire front of the house and managing the business at the same time. She was a fantastic multi Tasker and host. The cook was a fun character as well. The location is off the main road just a little, so you will have to be looking for it. Highly recommend in this area of choices for eats and drinks.
Chad and Shannon light this place up. Chad is fabulous with the guests and people come in to see him when he is working. Shannon is a wonderful chef. These two make the Outpost a great place to visit and eat. The burgers and steaks are mouth watering. Everything is fresh and locally sourced. I highly recommend this place for drinks and/or dinner. I had the steak and shrimp scampi. While my husband had a giant burger. He finished the entire thing so I know he was happy. My steak was perfectly cooked with a side of asparagus and mashed potatoes. The shrimp was fabulous. The mashed potatoes are delicious. Every bite was a treat. Chad made us a special Mojito. They were really good and just a perfect fresh cocktail. Chad made homemade simple syrup, added mint from his garden and the rest is history. Just go to Emigrant Outpost. You will leave perfectly full and all warmed up inside. Enjoy! Thanks for a wonderful dinner.
The Outpost is a pleasant suprise in this small town although slightly off the beaten path. But less than a mile from the Emigrant intersection, turn East towards the Sage lodge and s you round the curve slightly left after crossing the river, there it sits in the right. Indoor or large outdoor seating. Plenty of parking. Gotta try their pizza, best in the area and all their food is good with variety of beers, wine and liquor. A "locals" bar & restaurant and all are welcome.
This place was awesome. I got the french dip and the meat was just cut off a prime rib. It was awesome! I’ve marked this place so that I can recommend it to others in the area and so I can return next year. Great atmosphere also for just hanging out. They have some service things to work out but the food was great and lots of potential. Highly recommended
