Flathead National Forest reviews
6Beautiful and amazing. So many special places and ways to reconnect with nature.
Beautiful! Please be respectful and take care of the public use land when you come to visit
This is a great national forest. If you hit up the nice spots and do some of the hikes it can even be better than glacier national park because there isn’t as much traffic and no crowds here. Lots of amazing lakes and rivers to swim in and plenty of hikes you can do that overlook some of glacier park. We did some dispersed camping here as well. Plenty of dirt roads to camp from for free:)
Hiking trails are amazing! Took awhile getting used to climbing up to the thinner air of the mountains, view is stunning and worth every minute of the climb to the top.
We only drove through it, but it was so beautiful! The lake was so blue!
A beautiful spot to watch the sunrise over the mountains, star gaze, and probably even the sunset as well. Lots of space for camping and some really great trails. Of course the ski resort is open in the winter, but there’s also some trails cross country skiing around!
