Glacier Elkhorn Cabins and Campground reviews
6We came late in the season and wanted to hike the west side of the park. This side of the park was pretty closed down. Thankfully these folks were open. The cabin had what we needed. No cooking in the cabin so we cooked outside. The restroom and showers were clean and in great shape. The creek lulled us to sleep each night. The owner was super nice.
Nice quiet campground. Although not set up for an rv, they accommodated us. We were self contained, but we found the bathrooms and shower clean and nice. The deck was a nice gathering place to socialize with the other campers who more often than not were hikers who shared their experiences and ratings for the trails at Glacier. As we are more comfortable with this type of campground vs an rv park, we were very pleased. It was convenient and the hosts were very nice.
The only good thing I can say about this place is the location.
-no hot water to wash your hands or face (they turned it off)
-10$ for every shower and you can only shower til 8 (we found 4$ shower at the park with hot water)
-5$ extra for Wi-Fi which only works next to bathrooms
Left 2 messages and nobody would return calls. We made other arrangements for a two week stay at the Johnston's and glad we did
I loved my stay here! Very close to glacier national park and a super easy drive into the park. It was truly amazing lora and her husband are so kind and accommodating! A wonderful stay and the cabins are so nice. They are very well planned out! The food is really really good too, and well priced. I highly recommend!
We had a snafu with our reservation at Many Glacier and I'm glad we did. Nice little campground with caring owners, very pet friendly. Great location, we were able to get settled in the morning and back to Many to enjoy a hike to Iceberg lake. Campsites are private, small basic cabins on the river looked comfortable.
