Glacier Peaks RV Park & Campground reviews
17 Staying here through the winter, we've found the staff to be absolutely wonderful. Ex.the maintenance guy worked on a major electrical issue outside in a literal blizzard-30 mph winds and subzero temperatures. And this was over the holiday weekend!
Only complaint is that the infrastructure here is pretty worn out, so the weather really does a number on plumbing and electrical
Very Nice park. Deanna, Lea, Mattie, and Evan are all very friendly and helpful. Great place to stay.
Great RV park! Friendly staff, clean restrooms and nice location. I stayed two nights.
I would stay again.
Overall, a decent campground. Laundry is $$$ (the most expensive we've come across in our 8 months on the road). Not much road noise, a nice dog run and small playground for kids. The bathrooms are clean, but are not pretty which is fine. Spots are super close together.
Nice small campground. Friendly staff. Bathrooms and showers have a code so if you after hours you cannot enter. Recycling. Laundry is kind of expensive. $4 to wash and $2 to dry unless you use the lsrg dryer which is. 25 per 8 mins. It is right off the highway so you my hear a lot or noise tent camping but it didn't bother us in the camper. Sites were ok size but the neighbors water and electric box were right in the middle of our site which was kind of weird. They do need to trim the tress for larger rigs. We would stay here again.
Real nice rv park. Some spaces are not real level. Nice facilities. They even have a community garden. Recycling area. Small cottages too.
Spent a week here 8/17/22 to 8/24/22.
Very nice small clean park. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Close to shopping and Glacier park and reasonably priced. Has a dog park and a playground for the kids. Very quiet and safe. Will definitely stay here again.
Our daughter's and our family met up for a big family vacation in July. We picked this Campground because it was close to Glacier. What we found is a very well run and very well kept Campground. Free showers lots and lots of hot water and they were clean. There were also laundromat on site. The people were wonderful they were very kind and friendly for our whole family. We had a lot of children with us and they were welcoming to all of them. If you're looking for a campground in Columbia Falls you will be happy you chose this one.
Nice Iittle campground/rv park. Clean facilities, super friendly staff. Spent a week in a sleeper cabin while exploring Glacier Park and loved it. Would recommend to anyone visiting the area.
We spent 12 wonderful days at the Glacier Peaks RV park campground. The bathroom/shower houses are very clean and well maintained. Staff are so friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed our visits and formed lasting
friendships. Deanna and Emmy are amazing neighbors! Deanna was kind enough to provide us with information we inquired about. We look forward to staying there again. Thank you for a wonderful vacation!
We had a nice spot tucked away from the highway. We were caught off guard that the park didn’t have a dump station with so many water/electric only sites. Thankfully we were able to pay to dump in an unoccupied full hook up site when we left
Friendly staff, clean, well maintained campsites and very convenient to Glacier national park.
Nice quiet clean park. Staff very nice and accommodating. Rules are like other parks. Conduct your self accordingly with respect to others. Pay to shower which is a first for me, I didn't use as I have a shower in my RV.
Great park, would stay again.deserves a 5 star.
Staff was friendly however there’s no staff available after office hours. My dog was attacked by another camper’s dog and the aggressive dog and owner were not asked to leave.
The campground is very expensive ($70/ night), no amenities, sites so close that site sewer holes are next to picnic tables.
It's about 15 minutes from the Glacier Park entrance which isn't too bad, but you could get better. Staff was nice If you didn't have problems or complaints. If you did they got aggressive, defensive and rude. Be aware that the office closes at 8 and you can only do a late check in til 9 pm. For late check INS this is really early and I worry for families with kids who are running behind. The bathrooms were clean but pretty run down. One shower had paint peeling off all the walls by the sink. They advertise showers but there are only 2 and they are coin operated. They cost two dollars. Can't tell you how long the showers are supposed to run for because we had 3 people shower and all had different times (7,6, and 10 minutes). That's pretty expensive for 2 dollars. Water pressure also varied. I had great water pressure but my other 2 companions did not. Ive never had anywhere I have stayed at charge for showers. It's a cheap move in my opinion. It's also hard because you can't really get coin exchanged anywhere because of shortages. You can get them from the office, but again they are only open til 8, and if they run out tough luck I guess. Also be aware that they are strict on rules and they will hand you a whole paper of them. But also they don't have anyone really enforcing them after 8. We had 2 neighbors start fires and run loud music after quiet hours. Be forewarned they say on their paper that if they don't like the look of your vehicle they will ask you to leave. Also they can ask you to leave over pretty much anything they don't like and they will not refund you. Rude much? I though so. It's a little noisy, you can hear jets and planes through most of the day. All in all it wasn't terrible, but it really wasn't great. I wouldn't stay there again. It just wasn't worth the price. For how much they charge I expect more. Nothing sucks more that staying somewhere when your on vacation and feeling like you just can't be comfortable. Even if it's more of a drive it would be worth it to stay somewhere else.
The campground is fine and the facilities are great. I only gave it 4 stars because it was a half hour from the park entrance and it's right on the highway. We were the first site closest to the road so that may matter depending on how much noise at night bothers you. You're certainly not on the edge of the road. This was the closest I could find to the park for our visit so I knew about the distance and was ok with it.
! WARNINGS!
~ you have to pay for showers. It is $2 for 10 min (more like 6 min) and you have to use quarters.
~ office hours are 8am-8pm and late check-in is 9pm. After those times you can't get in.
~ very strict rules (can't park on grass, can't be loud, they can kick you out whenever they want, etc.)
~ they don't have great customer service. Front desk was rude and doesn't care about your problems.
I wouldn't recommend anyone to stay here!
