I’m the past, Goodwill (Bozeman) has always been a quick, easy and friendly way to donate clothes to people in need.

My wife and I spent 8 hours this weekend putting together 15 full bags full of our designer, western, and casual clothes, shoes and boots to give.

Had 1 hour lunch today and drove to Belgrade with my 3 month old baby to find a line of 9 vehicles trying to donate. We tried to just drop the clothes and head back to work and was met with rude employees telling us we could not donate without waiting in the “drive through only” line.

Pissed us off to say the least, spending the time to collect and drive our donations to Belgrade to be met with this disrespect. In the end, it was easier and faster to drive from Belgrade to the Bozeman dump, pay the $10 and trash the $5,000-7,000 worth of clothing we wanted to donate to people in need.

Y’all need to be more accommodating and nice to people spending the time to give back, it’s not fair to the people your company made a commitment too.

After one of the employees rudely snatched merchandise out of my hands as I was browsing, I will no longer be a shopper at Goodwill.

We found a brand new electric wheel chair for $750! One of the regular customers helped us figure out how it worked and when we decided to buy it some employees loaded it into our van with the fork lift and then got into my van to push the wheelchair over to make room for our other things. I've always loved the Belgrade Goodwill for its organization, cleanliness, helpful, friendly staff and variety of merchandise. However, after this incident, I just can't keep quiet about all they did for us!

I normally love going to this store location, to get my kids toys just as a little reward, or to cheer us up on a stressful day but today was not a good day
A worked in the kids section would not stop staring at my kids with the most annoyed facial expressions like if my kids have done something to her.
She pointed out the kids couldn’t put the toys on the floor they were making a mess,
I told her once my kids choose the toy they want we will pick it up but she did not move and stare at me the whole time till I picked it up, my daughter is 2 yo she got a stuffed animal puppets and son he’s 3yo got a nerf gun he was so happy going pew pew everywhere every isle he’s a kid u can imagine
Then that worker started talking to my kids with a really mean tone saying to not point that, that is not nice, don’t do that, stop it, I walked towards them and said if u have a problem with my kid u talk to me not to him he’s only3
She pointed out he was disrespectful and I needed to raise my kid better
Those words made me really upset and mad I told her that who does she think she is for her to have an opinion on my kids, I am the mom and I raise them how I think it’s right she keep talking I just left what I had and headed to the from to exit the door
Never going back I love the store never had a problem till today and today was enough to ruin it for me

Didn't even make it into the store because we parked In the corner in the picture and were rudly told as soon as we got out shouted at that this was not a parking spot we were parked right next to the Honda in the picture and left very unsatisfied

I work in retail, so I know what decent service is, and this was not it. I walked in and said, "I don't have a receipt, but. "but the woman cut me off to say, "No returns without a receipt! " I continued, "I don't want to return. This USB cable didn't work. I'd just like to exchange it for one that does. " She replied, "You can exchange it if you find something back there. " So I went and found an identical cable and an additional identical cable which I planned on paying for just in case one didn't work. I walked back up to the same cashier. I explained that I wanted to purchase one and exchange for the other. She replied, "Can I see your receipt? " I explained that I just spoke to her, and she told me I could do the exchange, knowing I had no receipt. Without even explaining what she was doing, she walked to the phone and called a manager and then came back to the counter and stared away, refusing to make eye contact. The manager came and asked what was happening. The clerk spoke over me to say I was trying to make a return without a receipt. I explained what was actually happening, and the manager was shaking her head at me the whole time. Then, when I finished, she replied, "Our policy is on your receipt. " (Very rude, because obviously I didn't have the receipt.) I then asked, "Then why did she tell me I could? " The manager ignored my question and simply said, "That is not happening. " and walked away. I was very upset at the way I was treated, but I still needed the cables, I paid for both. As I was walking away, the clerk laughed at me, out loud. I turned around, and she was smiling. I decided right then and there that I would never be back and gave her some well-deserved, choice words. I then walked out, and she thought it would be a good idea to follow me out, shouting at me. I will never be back, and I will be living in this community telling people not to shop there forever. They lost my business and possibly others for $2. That is bad business. The worst part is that I have the receipt. I just didn't want to go home for it if I didn't have to, and I needed the cables right away for a work project. So if she had said no in the beginning, it wouldn't have been a problem, and if the manager had apologized and said she would talk to tge clerk about their policies and procedures, I would have been annoyed, but accepted it. As it is, they needlessly escalated a simple situation to utter chaos. There's no excuse for their behavior. I would never treat customers like that. Attached is a picture of the cables they were willing to lose a customer over.

Never had an issue with the staff. It’s relatively organized. My biggest issue though is the pricing. It’s a rip off on many items. There’s broken items like baskets that they price as if it’s in great condition when it’s clearly worth $3 and not almost $10.

The 20% discounts are sweet though if you donate.

I wish the employees of this goodwill could leave reviews for their customers because some of y’all are rude with the “oh I don’t want this” last minute at the pay counter and expecting Judy to just make your day (its goodwill, not your therapist’s office). Probably the same customers that leave their pile of try-ons in the dressing room instead of putting them back on the hanger and on the return rack.

I love this goodwill location and I will always continue shopping there. It’s clean, relatively organized, and generally well-run.

Nice clean store! Seemed full of what ever you need, clothes, luggage, shoes, kitchen supplies etc.
