Grouse Mountain Lodge, Whitefish MT

Big very clean rooms, comfy beds and pillows. Flowers were awesome. Coffee and tea in lobby, easy parking and access.had a great time in the screened outside sitting areas.wonderful atmosphere.our driver, Tatyana was wonderful to talk to and she drove us to train depot.

Rooms not cleaned daily, only on request. Had to ask for flask of water and tea bags as none in the room. Had a meal in the restaurant and they couldn't get get my order right. Took over 1 1/2 hours to get my food. Very disappointing.

The rooms are a bit expensive but it is what I agreed to. What I did not agree to were hidden charges the next day, including a "tourism promo assessment" fee. For the price you pay and the extra fees, it does not even include breakfast.

Absolutely not worth the price. Breakfast not included, which I would expect from >250$ per night. The rooms are okay, nothing special, but the furniture could be exchanged, it looks old and outdated and partially damaged. The rooms were clean. It was very loud at night, there's a railroad nearby that for whatever reason honks its horns constantly when driving by. We could hear our upstairs neighbors walking up and down their room and the neighbors next door's conversations. The AC looks like it's 30+ years old, it's very loud and looked not clean.
Dinner in the restaurant is very expensive for what you get, the food was like the rest of the hotel: okay but nothing special and too expensive for what you get.
You have to ask for housekeeping if you want it, they won't come to your room on a regular basis. I was also a little surprised to find a check on the floor at the day of check out that charges us an additional 30$ in amenity fees on top of the already expensive stay here.

All in all I was hoping for way more regarding the money spent and I am more than disappointed with my stay here and I am almost a little angry about the cost of our stay here. You can see the standards that the hotel used to have, but that seems like it was some decades ago. I won't come again.

Rebooked to a fabulous airbnb after reading the recent terrible reviews. It must have gone downhill fast to maintain a 4.2 overall rating with 700+ reviews. I don't need frustration on vacation

Nice and close to Glacier National Park and walking distance to downtown Whitefish. Clean rooms, good restaurant on premises.

Great service, excellent food. Pasta is a must try. Unique atmosphere next to golf course. Will be back.

Stayed here two nights in July booking both a suite and a regular room. Overall disappointing. I made reservations to be picked up at the airport several weeks in advance and for some reason they were canceled while we were in the air. We waited over an hour at the airport. As we checked in late and tired the receptionist eagerly told us about the restaurant across the hall that would be serving food until 10: 00 pm. We rushed upstairs to drop our bags and grab dinner around 7 only to be told by the hostess (who is in earshot of the front desk) that there was no possible way she could seat us this evening and that the kitchen was “hours” behind. In fact we were told we could only use the bar to get a drink to take out on the porch. Yup, weren’t even allowed to sit at the bar which clearly had open seats.
We were assigned to a two level room/suite that was at least 90 degrees. The thermostat on the wall was set at 50 degrees. After the four of us searched the suite unsuccessfully for a resolution, we headed down to the desk for help and a ride to find food. After returning from dinner I purchased 4 candy items for our room including a small bag of popcorn that was not marked but rang up $10! Arriving in our room we found both packs of peanut butter cups completely melted and re-hardened. We later found the popcorn to be stale and chewy. I spoke with the desk about how disappointing our stay was after only 3 hours. Response…here is your $3 back for the candy. Although the desk did get some AC moving in the suite, the second floor of the suite never cooled off in the two nights we stayed. The final night my husband went down to the desk to see what breakfast options were available. He happily reported that both the coffee bar and restaurant opened at 6: 30. Here we are at 6: 30 (we have a 7: 00 pick up) and of course the coffee bar doesn’t open until 7: 00. Shared my disappointment with the desk AGAIN for another …I’m sorry about that…let me ring up your $1,000 stay. Sadly we have to return here in a week for our night before our return to the airport. No luck finding someplace else as I figured…. As this would be the only way places like this survive…supply and demand.

Amazing! Hotel rooms are spacious and well appointed with great views of the golf course. Very clean. On-site restaurant has delicious food. Sarah at Logan’s is worth her weight in gold. The way she juggles everything all at once to make your experience the best possible is beyond belief. Can’t wait to come again!

Just outside downtown Whitefish, within easy bicycling distance. Surrounded by a green soccer field and tennis courts on one side and overlioking a golf course on the other. Service is excellent so expect to pay $18 for an excellent buffet breakfast - it's a nice resort, not a no-frills, cheap-o place.
Superior service - I left something in our room when I checked out. They caught it, held it and knew what immediately what to do to get it to us. (A previous hotel charged us a handling fee for a similar event, but Grouse Mountain Lodge's service is a cut above.)

We have stayed at your hotel two or three times a year.for several years. We have always felt the hotel held high standards and have not had any issues until now.
We stayed at your hotel May 15th and 16th, room 245. This is the first time we have experience a room that wasn't clean. If we had noticed the issue before we were settled, we would have asked for another room. We notice hair on the floor in the bathroom, hair on the tub and hair on the sink and Kleenex dispenser at the "hall" sink. The last morning, I picked up an item off the floor that I had dropped. I found a lid to a drink by the nightstand.
I know your management would want this brought to your attention.

Wonderful hotel - rooms were huge, clean and well kept. Would definitely recommend on your stay in Whitefish

First off they over booked the room we had reserved so instead of a king bed we had a queen and there was no discount for the downgrade. Secondly they advertise as “pet friendly” however they don’t allow cats. We called in advance to ensure it was a pet friendly room but when we got there, they charged us an extra fee for the cats after getting manager approval. The room was dirty and had some strange chunky something on the floor, stains on the lamps, scratches in the headboards. The pool also had bugs and hair floating on the surface and the hot tub had a whole banner floating in it. Lastly the vending machine wouldn’t take any cash even though they were crisp new bills. Overall a terrible experience!

Need to do better cleaning rooms that is the only reason for 4 stars. Overall nice place, currently doing upgrades which is a huge plus.

I arrived late after a train delay on April 27th. The staff was more than helpful with unexpected laundry I needed to do. Both shuttle drivers were friendly and chatty about what was going on nearby. I would recommend a stay and will return. Every staff member provided the epitome of customer service.

We are very thankful for this place and the staff was so welcoming to our little chiweenie dog. I like this place for the pool cause I can swim morning laps and this hotel is about half the price of the whitefish lodge and twice as nice.

Nice resort. Love the king corner suite. Outdoor jacuzzi was amazing. 1st shift staff is top notch. Had the Fish and Chips 2 nights in a row. As good as any British place. Morning breakfast buffet was really good. Lots of options. Even had 2 different kinds of eggs. Breakfast chorizo tacos were amazing also.

Great value for the price!

Location is just a 2 min drive from downtown. Beautiful views all around. Rooms were dark and decently clean. Our room, 159, did not drain well and you had to stand in water whilst showering. Also had a negative experience with fellow patrons being quite loud into the late hours of the night, but hey, comes with the territory of staying budget.

Staff was incredibly nice and very helpful. A+ for them! Facilities on the other hand need a little updating/love. Hot Tub had no jets, all the floors were squeaky, shanty, windows fogged up. Would definitely stay here again if the price is right!

Best service. Rooms are clean. Every room has robes and a ski locker. The food is great. Shuttle to ski or right on the golf course

Very nice hotel. We also had dinner at the hotel, it was very good. Breakfast was ok, not that extensive.
Free parking in front of the hotel. We were also able to do our laundry quickly and cheaply in the hotel.
Staff was very friendly and helpful.
The only thing that wasn't so good was that I could hardly sleep because it was very loud at night. Must be right on a train line and a train was constantly passing by at night.
