This is simply the finest fly fishing lodge that my wife (a non-fisher) and I have stayed at. Mike and Laura, and the entire team, make you feel like a treasured part of the family. The food is exceptional and you meet so many thoughtful and interesting people during your stay. The guides are the best I have seen. We are going back next year.

Another outstanding visit to Healing Waters and Western Montana. Laura and Mike are wonderful hosts, the lodge and location are beautiful, the cuisine is exceptional, and the fishing and guides are most enjoyable. I look forward to returning.

First and foremost, Mike and Laura are two of the most gracious hosts you could ask for. Laura is there every morning with coffee and a smile to greet you as you roll in for breakfast. Mike is very well read and is a great conversionalist on just about any subject, with entertaining anecdotes and stories on the local area and rivers. The food was fabulous, with gourmet lunches and terrific dinners. Everything was well coordinated and went without a hitch. And of course there is the fishing. With numerous rivers to choose from in the surrounding vicinity.and a knowledgeable team of guides, you are just about guaranteed to catch some beautiful fish!

What an experience! TJ and Tristan were great guides. I caught a 23in rainbow. Thanks to both for being patient, ensuring we had a great experience and improving my fishing technique. Mike and Laura were wonderful hosts and their staff were welcoming, engaging and always made sure we had anything needed. Rooms were cute and well taken care of. Mike, Laura, Sarah, Jena, Amber, Abbey, Jake.thank you!

I had an incredible experience at the Healing Waters Lodge. Mike and Laura are just so nice and really worked hard to make the experience memorable. There lodge is great. Rooms were well acquainted. I really liked the fluffy towels. They fitted me with all the fly fishing gear and my guide, Butch, was great. Caught rainbow and brook trout. Went down the Big Hole River and saw eagles and we floated down the river fishing for hours. Just a trip down the river without fishing is an experience. It's so beautiful there. At the lodge, they served breakfast and dinner with happy hour wine or beer. Box lunch was provided on the boat. Food was excellent and the conversation with all the other guests made the whole experience that much more enjoyable. One group had been coming to the Healing Waters for close to 30 years. I can see why. And the staff were incredible and so hospitable. Geary, Dan, Cal and several others, I wish I wrote down all their names to say thank you for an incredible time! I forgot my sunglasses on the second day of fishing and Geary let me borrow his other pair. Thank you Geary!
After dinner, I really enjoyed taking quiet walks down the road from the lodge. The sunset is spectacular. It's a great place to feel close to nature. The evenings are so quiet. So few cars. I forgot what it's like to be outside and just hear nature.
I can't wait to come back and now I want to buy 20 acres in Montana and retire there!

I fished there last year and enjoyed it so much, I came back for Trout Fishing school this year. And planning my trip for next year! Mike, Laura and the guides and staff are hospitable, knowledgeable and very caring. The food is excellent, the lodge is great with large rooms and comfortable beds. They also draw such interesting people, so breakfasts and dinners in the lodge are always fun.

We just returned from our 3 day fishing trip to Montana. Laura, Mike and all the lodge hosts were great. The guides they use are top notch, and take every opportunity to help you with technique (whether beginners, or experienced but out of practice patrons!). I would recommend Healing Waters to anyone I know as a first trip or return trip to fish Montana.
