Jacklin's Outfitters, West Yellowstone MT

We booked a full day fishing trip with Jacklin’s. Mark was superb as a guide! We met Bob on our way out. He is still tying flies that work. Had a really great experience with this shop.

Bought a couple flies and some worms after asking about guided charters (they were booked, we were asking about same-day). The proprietor (I believe it was Bob Jacklin) gave us great advice for boat rental and a nearby lake. He let the each of the kids pick out a free fly! We will be teaching our kids to fly fish and then coming back to West Yellowstone and Jacklin's for lessons and guiding. The other guy working that day was from Minnesota and exhibited the classic Midwest friendliness (even though we still hate the Vikings, Go Pack!) Great place!

I’m just starting out fly fishing and everyone there was so incredibly helpful, super informative and knowledgeable as well as beyond patient with helping me out and explaining everything I didn’t understand. You can tell they all love what they’re doing and love helping and sharing their knowledge. They made sure to send me away with everything I needed and gave me heaps of invaluable tips and information. Love these guys!

Got to meet Bob Kacklin. He said that he has been there for a 45 years. He answered a history question for about a old friend that used to make nets for the store.

Only place in West Yellowstone you can fine good, but inexpensive fly reels and rods. Staff was extremely helpful. Just love this place.

The employees were very helpful. I purchased a rod and reel from them. Unfortunately, the rod broke. It was disappointing. I gave them 5 stars because when I went to return the rod, the owner was kind and understanding and replaced it with no questions asked. He stood behind his product.

Great prices, fantastic service! My boys and I were treated so great here and their prices were less than any other shop. They love the sport and it shows!

The second I walked into this place I didnt even feel like I was dealing with actual fisherman I was never greeted or asked if I needed any help maybe its cause I'm a tourist idk man but some common curtousy would have gone along way in my book I wouldnt even sport a tshirt from this SH! TJOLE

I've been fishing the West Yellowstone area for over 30 years. Visited every fly shop in town at one time or the other. Jacklin's is my favorite. Great people, great selection of everything you'll need for a successful fly fishing experience.

If you're thinking of booking a float trip, this is the place to go. Their guides are full of helpful insights and are more than willing to share their knowledge.

Great shop! Bob is a icon in the fly fishing community in this area. Mark Johnson, a 30 plus year guide, showed us newbies all the ropes. Was worth every penny. Get your cc out! This stuff is expensive.but what isn’t in Yellowstone?

I couldn't really get the staff to help me out when I visited, even when I was asking questions and browsing. When I inquired about purchasing a replacement safety cap for my bear spray, I was given a lecture as if I had lost it playing around or something. Wouldn't go back.

After spending a few days fishing in Jackson Hole with zero luck, we stopped by Jacklin's before going to fish in Yellowstone. He told us where to go, what fly to use, and what size tippet. We finally caught trout! What can I say besides the guy knows what he's talking about! Very friendly and helpful, and the store is affordable unlike many other fly shops in this region. You don't have to spend an outrageous amount of money to enjoy fly fishing!

While on a long road trip Spring/Summer of 2019 I found myself standing across the street looking at Jacklin's Fly Shop. I haven't fished in over 20 yrs, but recalled reading articles by Bob Jacklin, and over the past month after watching fly fishermen along rivers, I was catching the bug. Stepped in and purchased a new reel and a few flies. The staff was very helpful and took time to set up the reel. Great Service!
