Kempton Hotel, Terry MT

I dropped in after a long day hiking and it turned into the trip of a lifetime. Everyone was so kind and treated you like family, I can’t say enough about the people there. In fact I liked it so much I stayed another night. I will be back next Spring!

Cute clean vintage historical hotel in Terry Montana. Updated, yet maintained charm of a earlier time. A must experience for the Americana explorer/travelers. Great antique shop and book store. Clean, friendly service.

Step back into 1908.great experience. Quiet town.no stop sign nor traffic lights. Dizzy dinner cooks your meal just for you.an experience like no other.

Super interesting place! You're transportated back in time here to the early 1900's. Cool balcony with views of the whole city! Friendly staff, great location off the interstate, but tucked off into town. Very cool hotel, as long as you're okay with a little quirky place to stay that is dated in a lot of ways this is the perfect place to stop! Way better to support local and small businesses than a chain hotel nearby. Would come again. Sidenote: the bath mats in the shared shower felt a bit weird to me

Fantastic historic hotel. Some rooms have community showers and bathrooms- however, our room had a full bath. Service is great and seems to be family owned. Beds are comfortable and rooms are clean. You will not be disappointed in your stay. There's a restaurant with a good looking menu directly across the street, however they are closed on Wednesdays which happened to be the evening we arrived. We ended up eating just around the corner at the legion which had a very nice waitstaff/owners but poor food. My suggestion is to grab a bite in Miles City if you're passing through on a Wednesday.

After a year here. FOUND way better rates at SMALL TOWN RV in terry Montana 400 month with internet. Or check out the diamond motel down the street.

Only reason for 4 stars is the ac didn't work. It was a very cute and quaint atmosphere!

If you're on 94, u MUST stop at these traveler's jewel. Immediately when u walk in, u go back 121 years to when they first opened their doors.

Simply put, its a travel back in time without losing the modern comfort we are accustomed to.
Yes there is a shared bathroom. Welcom to the 1900s!

But the balcony and the upstairs collectible bookstore make it perfect for the relax and read with coffee/tea crowd.

Looks nice enough to to be entering a museum. Comfortable beds. Some newly remodeled rooms. Friendliest people. We were invited to play cards with owners and other guests. I will definitely plan on staying here again!

If you can stay here.solid 5 of 5! Looking back on this 16 day motorcycle trip I got to say this was the best of the lot. The look, feel, and even smell was old west to the core. If you find yourself within 100 miles of Terry Mt go straight here. Gets The Ogre's Gold Star!

We arrived a bit late and got the hood old fashion shared bathroom rooms. It was very cozy. Beth, who worked the desk, was super kind and accommodating. The rooms take you back into history, which is pretty awesome, but still provide modern amenities like television and a microwave. They are pet friendly which is always a bonus. The room was nice and toasty, which is nice because well Montana has some cold winters. Clean rooms and clean bedding, which is always a plus. It is a very cute hotel and I had a lot of fun just looking at the artwork and artifacts on the walls. Would definitely recommend staying here if you stop through Terry, or just if you want a quiet weekend getaway.
