Kootenai Creek Trailhead reviews
16Absolutely love this area! Was great to see its up kept to be able to show to my friends from out of state!
The trail is wonderful, however, I almost fell down in the river because someone's unleashed dog ran towards me as if attacking me.
It's sad how people hike with unleased dogs as if its their private property
Seemed like it was going to be a nice trail. I can say definitively it was an average place to have your toddler throw a tantrum and demand to get back in a car.
Beautiful hike! One of our favorite spots we bring visitors. We’ve only gone about 2mi in and turned around. Great lookout view about. 25 mi in.
This place is neer and dear to me and my childhood growing up in the Bitteroot Valley. I'm only giving 4 stars because it is a gravel parking lot and it's not handicap accessible. Up the trail is some amazing sights, moderate trail conditions, and top notch rock climbing. There is an outhouse in the parking area, that's about it. Would give one and a half thumbs up and still would recommend to family and friends! Enjoy
Wonderful trail! I strung up my hammock and relaxed with a book while being surrounded by beautiful country. Get out and explore! Campsites along the trail with fire pits.
Been a while since I was here. Last time I had to shorten my hike because of wolves all around me. This time was just a short hike for the exercise. It is a beautiful place to hike. Follows the creek. Gently sloped up and well established. Only down side would be it is a little busy.
Good parking with facilities. Good hiking. Narrow and steep though. Keep the dogs and kids close in the spring time.
The creek is very loud, so you can enjoy it. I went April 7th, 2021 and there wasn't too much snow or mud.
This walk is family friendly and easy enough to hike after eating a Chinese buffet without cramping, or crampons.
Spent t hours on the trail today and net exactly one other person during that time. Nice change from a summer excursion. Trail is great for about 3 miles in, then snow gets deep.
Our favorite hiking trail in the valley! Kootenai Creek is beautiful. We hike in about a mile and then back out.
Absolutely one of the worst hikes I have ever been on. Right next to a main highway. Just stay in Missoula for your hikes
This is an awesome trail. It goes all the way to idaho if you hike all the way up it. It has many scenic areas and practically follows the trail all the way up.
Lots of bushwacking, and water crossings further up the trail. And it's just my own pet peeve, but I hate uphill on the way home, and there was lots of it.
One of my most favorite places to hike near Missoula! Absolutely enchanting! Pretty easy hike, although the trail can be rocky in spots.
