We have come to expect the best when we visit our National Parks and Monuments, and Little Bighorn lives up to expectations. Prepare to be enchanted by the sweeping landscape and gorgeous vistas, but also prepare for an emotional journey courtesy of the app that guides you around the park. What do we learn from the mistakes of the past? For one.we should not trust the judgment of a person who does not listen to the advice of experts.

Amazing piece of history. If you are ever in the area I highly recommend stopping and learning the history of what happened. You can do a drive thru of the actual direction of the battle while markers guide you on the events step by step.

Seeing the site of such horrific events makes the history I've heard about for so long more real. But still hard to understand.

This was a really amazing experience for the entire family. The gravestones at the battle site are placed where the soldiers fell in battle. Very informative and a great learning experience. Free for military!

There is so much history here. Things that need to be taught in schools. The Indigenous peoples story.

This was an amazing and wonderful addition to our trip to Montana. The ranger that described the battle was an excellent storyteller and had me thoroughly engaged in his telling of what happened at the battle. Highly recommend and would definitely go again. If you go there, don't forget to follow the driving trail out to the end and see all the graves and how far the battle extended.

Could probably have dedicated about a half day to just tour the whole battlefield. Recommend stopping to read the signs, they give you a great visual of where the battle took place and how it progressed.

So much to learn and hear. You may have a different perspective of the scale of the battle of Little Big Horn. Great information and the audio tour gave both the soldier and the native people perspective.

It's been all commercialized now, equipped with a toll troll.and the victors story is highly exaggerated to make old yella hair look like some kind of hero.when reality is.he got his whole platoon killed and some tortured.

Great American history explained, great staff and location. They do a great job explaining it all. Worth a drive. A must visit.

Everyone should see The Battlefield. It is so very informative. And we liked how both sides of the history is told. And along the road is the interpretive information, showing what happened on that hill, ravine or river. So you can imagine the battle in your mind. Well worth the trip.

If you are a history buff for this battle you’ll be satisfied with your visit. This could be a all day outing as there are many cool things to see and attend. I also got my National Park book stamped. I took the 15$ tour and learned more history about the battle that Custer and the 7 th battalion lost. Very glad to have visited and would return to spend more time on this sacred sight.

A must see if anywhere near the area! The Visitor Center has done an amazing job of telling the story with respect to both sides which is important. It's a time in history that may not be looked upon favorably but they have done an amazing job with facts about that time and the events that occurred.

There are several displays of the battle that are realistic and done well as well as artifacts and models. There is a 24 minute video about the battle that covers and explains everything. My husband is a history buff and even he learned a lot and was super immersed in the center. Although it was 100 degrees the day we were there, we did some walking and driving around the grounds, taking it all in. There are story boards throughout which we took turns reading to each other while the other studied and enjoyed the landscape.

The Ranger in the Visitor Center was a wealth of knowledge and answered some longstanding questions we had about Sitting Bull and the battle.

Very clear, and I thought fair, explanation of what happened here. It seemed like representation was given to all parties involved. I liked the artifacts as well.

My husband would give it 5 stars but he is a history teacher and a avid reader of this history. I could have enjoyed the whole thing in 2 or 2 1/2 hours but we were there for 5 hours which was a little much. We have a National Parks Pass so there was no charge. The Park ranger talk was good and he was really into it. The video is a good start for someone who needs a refresher on the basic story but I'm pretty sure my husband could have given a more detailed description. I had several refreshers on the way. The hiking trail closest to the visitor center is a little like a staircase but the one at the top is paved and less strenuous. We came home with 7 more books to add to our shelf as there are quite a few in the store. Overall the whole thing was really much larger and impressive than any descriptions we had heard and it is something you have to experience to understand.
