Lost Creek State Park reviews
8Absolutely gorgeous fall foliage trip. The drive through the aspen grove was not to be outdone by the batholith rocks, the prettiest campground, and of course the falls (which is a paved ADA trail). Other longer distance hiking options too!
We camped over night in this beautiful spot amidst the rock formations and golden leaved trees. The outhouse were immaculately clean. We met the caretaker of the area and saw how he cared for the area!
It's a little off the beaten track but it's worth it if you're looking for a nice place to hike or camp. It might be the most under-rated state park in western Montana.
Best trail I've ever hiked. I've only ever hiked trails in the Missoula and Butte area but this one is beautiful and by far my favorite even if it is 11 miles total
It's a nice little campground with day use. There are only one or two picnic tables not associated with a campsite, so we often just set up in a campsite and hope nobody kicks us out. There is a very short walk on a paved trail to some falls. Other hiking trails are there for the more adventurous. Typical outhouse building, community water spigot and fire pits with grills. Great place for kids and pets. No playground equipment.
+A nice place off the beaten path
+ I had cell service
-crowded on a random day of the week
-no shower house
This is for RV camping only. I think you can still camp in a tent but you’re paying the same price as an RV would
Amazing place to drive up and park and camp or just park and walk 150 feet to the water fall it’s super beautiful and there’s a few trails up there to hike
The park has beautiful vaulted cliffs, but, only smaller campers (<26 ft.) Or tents in camp sites. Nice shaded picnic spots near the flowing creek. The hiking trail leads to a sweet waterfall, but, neither the hike nor the falls amount to anything extraordinary.
