Missoula Water

There is a service fee to pay online and setting up auto draft e-billing requires customers to print a form, fill it out by hand and mail it in with a voided check. Come on, really? In 2023, with the extremely high property taxes we pay, the City of Missoula can't/won't provide residents with a billing system that makes payments and account management "self serve"?
Also, the communication during water line maintenance was awful. We had work done on our street's water main and despite being told we would have 24 hour notice prior to any disruption in water service, we were repeatedly surprised at random times with no water at the tap. The workers also left trash (a pack of cigarettes, empty drink bottles, wrappers, etc.) littering the work site after-hours and completely destroyed a neighbors tree, also without any notice. The office support was very friendly and apologetic, but overall, my experience has been disappointing.

Apparently double charging people is done to “help them out”, or at least that’s what I was told when I couldn’t get a refund.
