Planet Fitness, Missoula MT

Unfortunately the people who run this club are very difficult to work with and were very rude when trying to deal with account issue and cancellation, and they claim to have no billing department.
I called my local club for help, they referred me to corporate. Called corporate, they referred me to the local club. Then the local manager was completely immature on the phone, continuously cutting me off and telling me to call corporate and refused to give me the name of the owner.
On top of these facts, I was hurt by one of their machines that broke while I was using it, that was not being maintained by the people who “work” there. I reported it and they shrugged of off without a care.
I won’t recommend this gym to anyone. Support your locally owned gyms.

I took a tour of the facility, it has a few amenities and plenty of room to work out. I joined and hope to add a few workouts each week around our work schedule!

Clean environment, great equipment & well maintained.
But the bathroom need serious maintenance.
Third sink faucet hasn't worked for weeks, showers valves are broken or falling apart, most hooks are loose or vanished.

After reading some reviews, i was nervous the showers wouldn’t be warm.but today,
men’s shower: really hot
women’s: on the border of warm/hot
bathrooms/showers could definitely afford to be throughly cleaned tho.

I am not from this area. I have never been to the Missoula area previously. I was looking forward to getting my workout in at the Planet Fitness here in town. The positives are that the Gym is a larger one and has more options than some of the other Planet Fitness' I've been to. Now, the Missoula Planet Fitness is getting neglected. At my gym back home, they have already replaced all the weights and weight machines and the gym has been open for less than 10 years. The weights and machines weren't even in bad shape. This Planet Fitness desperately needs the weights and machines replaced. They are old and worn. Everything still works, but they are looking and feeling worn and tired. I don't know if this decision comes from the individual gym or from corporate, but it's time for a makeover.

This place is absolutely terrible. They let transgender females aka males in the female locker rooms gawking at the females in there. Cancelling is next to impossible. They state cancellation policy is on the statement but other planet fitness's don't make you go thru the le hopes they do. The manager Rachel was useless. This place sucks. It's basically run by a bunch of kids who have zero anwsers. The weekend hours are horrible I decided to go to a different gym locally. I would suggest anyone reading this do the same pay the extra cash and do the same! It's been years and I couldn't be happier!

Women's bathroom seems to always be out of soap to wash your hands or the soap dispenser is broken been over a month no soap

Great gym has everything you need with the exception of barbells…and essential of any gym. Staff was friendly.

I know they are a "lunk free" gym, but a squat rack / platform has nothing to do with being a "lunk". Lol

Dumbest gym ever.no squat racks, no bench racks, no foam rollers, no bands, no mats, heaviest dumb bell is 75, heaviest kb is 30.bunch of stuff chastising people they call lunks, then say it's a no judgement zone.hand dryers proclaim they're green, saving trees, but then they give you paper towels to wipe down the machines.half the TV's are on Fox news right now. I'm sure the list could go on.

Descent planet fitness, relatively clean, the usual unhelpful and unfriendly staff that planet fitness is known for. The showers were luke warm at best which was super disappointing.

Big, but only two cable cross overs, just three mats for stretching, and the first time I've been asked to be "gentler with the weights" (I've been to over 50 PFs in the last three months traveling the US)

Deleted my review to write another so members can understand what they are signing up for. Management is not to be blamed for issues that have been consistent, I have gone to this gym since opening with 7-8 managers and they deal with the same issues.

Guess who controls staff pay which is so low that they can’t keep anyone around? The owner.
Who approves and is responsible for all maintenance issues (water temp being lukewarm for 4 years, tv channels not working, machines being fixed, tanning beds/hydro beds, etc.) ? The owner.
Who has the final say on all refunds and will not approve them 99% of the time? The owner.
Who decides what the managers can order, including a new vacuum that actually works or a surplus of items such as paper towels so they don’t run out? You guessed it, the owner.

Ownership needs to take responsibility and keep the gym in running order but he’s more concerned about turning a profit. Since corporate believes staff is “replaceable” replace the owner or regional/district managers who clearly are doing a horrible job, or allow the general managers the authority to do their job properly.

I traveled the country and I can go to these gyms and get cleaned up and get a good workout

Great gym, great equipment, but the training staff/employees are jerks. Young guy wearing filthy converse and zero Planet Fitness attire claimed he was an employee and cycling between 2 machines wasn't ok (after I asked if they'd use the other exact same machine that wasn't being used, so I wouldn't have to adjust everything again) and got all sorts of snotty about a simple request. I said okay and used the other machine. The "employee" then sat on the equipment for more than 5 mins talking. Brought up the issue to the employee at the counter and they shrugged their shoulders. They also don't enforce people wiping down equipment everytime. Good thing it's only $10/month. Update: I'd talk to a manager if she acted like she cared. She's been at the counter when I've addressed issues with other staff and she couldn't be bothered to look up from the computer while the other staff shrugged their shoulders. Great gym, lazy staff. Seriously, most times I'm there it's 2-3 young guys behind the counter staring at their phones. Today, I again addressed the members not wiping down equipment after using it and was told "I'll speak with them on their way out", but am I surprised that didn't happen? No. Sent an email to corporate and will be canceling my membership again. I'd post pics but taking them would be breaking PF policy. I see PF is hiring, seems like the easiest job in town.

The patrons try hard to be judgement free and I like the crowd. The management has done a better job at hiring mature people. I am grateful for this because I am self conscious. The crew on staff a couple years back were making fun of the lady exiting the facility in front of me. She was just beginning her weight loss journey, and apparently that's funny to a 120lb college girl? Anyway the crew in there today have manners. I said I would never return after that, but after 19 months looking around missoula, I think this might be my only gym. Hopefully the future brings us a second location!

They are good priced, and have amazing exercise equipment.plus it's in a judgment free zone! Wishing they had one in Hamilton too.always hoping! Thanks gals and guys!

I was in last week as a guest of a friend to see if it's the right place for me.
After witnessing an incident between a member with a dog claiming it's a service animal and another that called him on it (not my place to get involved, but it didn't appear to meet the standards of a service animal), and the way that management handled it, and by that I mean she didn't, I will be going elsewhere. If the person that runs the club is incapable of handling things like this I can't imagine how she (Rachel, I believe) would handle a real emergency.
