Polson / Flathead Lake KOA Holiday reviews
14I don’t think it is possible to say enough kind words about the KOA in Polson Montana. Our experience with them from the beginning was stellar. The location is perfect and the grounds are immaculate. The thing that stands out the most though is the staff. We traveled to Montana for a vacation with a family of five and our travel trailer. On the first day of our trip, we were coming home from glacier national park and hit a deer. While our car was not totaled, we were without a tow vehicle to move our TV or even get home. The staff made sure that we did not stress at all about where we would stay. They were kind to my kids and entertained them. Matt, the maintenance king, gave my husband a ride to and from the tow yard multiple times. They treated us like family and I will be forever grateful for their love and kindness. During a time that we were so stressed about how to get our RV and family home 8 hours away, I felt cool and calm knowing that the staff at this KOA was there to help. Thank you Beth, Matt and everyone at this resort for taking care of my family. We love you all!
Gorgeous setting with breathtaking views.
Facilities were perfectly clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. Everything about the campsite exceeded all of my expectations.
Awesome KOA! Our second trip here in 3 years. The KOA's front lawn was like a front row seat to Polson's 4th of July fireworks celebration.
Stopped here for a brief rest on our journey north. Had no idea this place was so beautiful. The KOA is sitting on a hill overlooking Flathead Lake. The views are incredible. It was Smokey when we got there so my pics can’t do it justice, but you will get the idea. The sites were roomy, facilities very clean, staff wonderful, and the town had everything a good traveling tourist needed! We have now marked this KOA as a vacation destination, not just a stop over! Highly recommend you visit. Bring your boat!
Beautiful views of flathead lake from our campsite. Stamped patio, bbq rocking chairs. Close to polson, drive around lake is really nice. Kalispell had lots of stores and places to eat including Costco.
One of the most beautiful KOAs we have ever stayed at. We stayed here in early June 2023 as we moved from Alaska with our five kids.
Katie and her team are so friendly and helpful.
Site 18 has the best view in the campground, and open view of the lake. Site 18 is also perfect if you have kids, directly across from the playground. Worth the money and peace of mind.
Highly recommend the Polson KOA. We would stay there again.
Gorgeous setting, quiet and clean! Only drawback for us was the distance from camping cabins to the bathroom. We got a ton of steps in! Otherwise, perfect!
This KOA had a great view! The only two downfalls was that we were there for a week, and no one attempted to bring new towels. There was a sign on the wall that said they replaced them after 3 days. On the fourth day my mom asked up front and was told “Oh I’ll let housekeeping know”. We never heard back so I went back up later and finally got them replaced. We had 6 people in our lodge so getting towels replaced was kind of a big deal. The only other downfall was that we HAD to stay away from the RV/Motorcoach area, (literally we weren’t allowed to go for a walk through it), but they were more then welcome to our area. They could use all our amenities, but we weren’t allowed to use the exercise area. Seems silly when the lodge is $300+ a night. Other than those two very small issues, we all had a great stay. The mini golf was cute, the pool was fun with a great view, and sitting in the chairs looking at the mountains was the best. Everyone was very kind!
The electric access tent sites are really meant for RV's, there is no real level surface. The facilities are clean, the staff is nice, but the showers are cold. Great location, however if there is a quiet hour it's not enforced. I found myself at 2am wishing for a downpour so the guy in the nearby site would go inside. He was drunk and singing along with some harmonica music most of the night, until the skies finally opened up and granted me the opportunity to sleep. The other site nearby had 3 big dogs they just don't control, running around and when they got back from dinner at midnight he was drunk and yelling at the dog for destroying items in their camper. Probably wouldn't choose this location again. In the 15 days I've been on the road vacationing thus far, this was the worst KOA I've stayed at, yet the most expensive.
We have an RV and took advantage of the winter special. We have been to Polson once before, but this was by far the best. It is a beautiful CG; clean, well maintained and away from traffic so very quiet. The staff are polite, helpful, friendly and efficient.
Camped here in our pop-up tent camper for a couple nights and loved this campsite. The pool was fun, the showers and bathroom at the community center where clean and super convenient. We also loved having a fire pit. We hope to return in the future.
Plan to stay at this KOA. We enjoyed riding our E-bikes to Polson.just down the road and across the bridge. Super clean restrooms, laundry facility and gift shop. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Nice place to stay the weekend. Great view, close to town, quiet and nice to have a clean laundry area and snack shop. Recommend.
This is our favorite KOA. We stay every year when we visit family and the staff/facility never disappoints. The views are stunning, the spaces are always clean and well kept, and the gift shop always has cool souvenirs to pick up.
