There is very little information on the highway about this place. And on your cell phone it says that it's a mile away but when you get in there to get up to the trees it's actually six miles to the area that you're looking for. All I'm saying is make sure you have enough gas to do it we did not realize that trail was going to be a long driving Trail and also a fairly long hiking trail.

Breathtaking. This was an unexpected surprise. I visited in the late evening hours, and took in the last hour of sunlight among these magnificent giant trees. I was the only one there and couldn’t have been more pleased. The trees are grand, and the quiet creeks that flow through add to a serene ambience that can rarely be found in today’s busy world. This experience is very reminiscent of the Giant Redwoods of Northern California, only without auto traffic or the crowds. The weather was variable while I was there with sunshine rain and fog all making brief appearances, which only added to the magic. Well groomed trails (and less well groomed for the adventurer), benches to sit on occasionally and a wonderful mix of living, dead, fallen, and lightning-struck, hollowed out trees with dense rainforest growth on the floor below. Will definitely bring the family back.

Added this to our outing to Kootenai Falls and was a great finish to our day. We brought our cousins from CO to show off some of our local " you gotta see this" even though we're from Coeur d'Alene.

Loved the ancient cedars, beautiful and breathtaking. It was fairly busy and it's only May. Recommend

This is a beautiful place with huge cedar trees. Nice loop trail and a longer trail coming into this area.

Beautiful, peaceful. Very humbling as you walk among these giant trees.

I really liked walking thru the area. Not a long walk a few rough spots. Road is narrow on the drive in. Lots of green and running water.

These are not the red woods but are impressive none-the-less. The hike around the trees is easy and the nature loop had nice views and information.

Amazing old growth cedar forest. It is a wonderful, easy walk. It is easy to explore wherever you would like and there is a longer walk as well.
