For off-season service, we were pleased with our stay. We experienced no issues. The cabins were clean, and the water was hot. The fridge/freezer is full size and they have a gas stove and oven. They provide all the necessary dishes, cookware, and utensils. Our cabin had seating for five not including the two beds. Wi-Fi is present, but no TV which is awesome! If you have kids, they provide a fun puzzle to pas the time. The location is great if you are spending most of your time in Lamar Valley and the surrounding areas. The price was great and we will stay here again next trip to Yellowstone.

BEWARE! We reserved a cabin there for 8/23 and when we arrived, my friend started to cry. There was a big gap in the front door, we had to use utensils to hold the very small windows open, the screens were ripped, the bed had a large dip in it and the sheets were stained. We did get our money back and we asked them how they could charge the price they do for these places. They told us that they could charge that price because they are a mile from the gate. Someone should shut them down because no one should have to stay here in these conditions. This was a Whispering Pines cabin and we asked them if there was another cabin in better shape and they said the cabins were all basically the same.

Sadly, we were traveling with a very anxious family member so intentionally paid $330 for a bungalow with 2 bedrooms. We arrived Friday 10/13 4pm ish to our key to a 1 bedroom cabin hanging on the store door and no help to be found all evening, and of course, no wifi to reach out. The cabin was definitely at the end of the season: no potholders, paper towels, salt, prep bowls, coffee, mixing bowls.only 2 spoons. I emailed Silver Gate 1st and have yet to receive a response. Southwest, whom I booked through, is now helping me get refunded to a cabin rate that date of $154 vs.the $330 we paid. Great place for family of 4 with young kids but we simply did not get what we paid for.

We found this cabin to be dirty and no heat. They did supply us with space heaters after we told them we had no heat. Very close to Yellowstone but would not stay there again. No internet or phone service but main thing is it was not clean.

Such a quaint mountain town cabin. We stayed in the main cabin and it was fantastic. So nice to have a cute place to walk around and unwind after a day in Yellowstone. The view was fantastic. And so nice to have no cell service or wifi and totally disconnect. Comfy beds.

We love the rustic feel and rich history of the range rider lodge. The location and price are great as well. Staff is always happy to accommodate guests needs within reason. Our 2nd stay and we plan on many more! The food and music added at the bar was excellent as well.

This was our second stay at the Whispering Pines Cabins in Silver Gate, MT. These rustic, cozy, comfortable, clean and quiet cabins are in a beautiful setting. We appreciated the showers and kitchens which are comforts we enjoyed. The night stars were a treasure as was the fire pit for a night fire to wind down after long lovely days in the park. Our two small dogs were welcomed which is a plus when vacationing with pets. The staff were always genuinely friendly and helpful. We are planning our return for 2024. Thank you all at Silver Gate Lodging.

This was a great place to stay. Location tucked in the mountains with great amenities. Private fire pit, supplies for cooking and fridge and they even provide a latern for night time exploring. Kids loved the bunk beds! Can’t wait to stay here again.

Loved our time at Silver Gate Lodging. Our cabin was perfect - clean, had everything we needed in the kitchen and had nice bathrooms. The staff were helpful and very knowledgeable about Yellowstone.

Was the perfect place for our first adventure into Yellowstone. People were so friendly and welcoming. Would definitely stay here again!

We stayed here while visiting Yellowstone and although a little out of the way from the main attractions in the park it was worth it! Everyone was so welcoming, the cabins were cozy, and we even enjoyed some s’mores next to the fire! Highly recommend!

We have stayed at Silver Gate Cabins for years and years. We’ve always been happy with our cabin. This trip we were a little disappointed. We stayed in the Annex. The pull out bed was broken, but the manager brought a mattress for my daughter to use on the floor. That worked out fine for us. We wished we had a microwave. The shower goes SUPER cold when someone else turns the water on in the cabin. We’ve stayed in the Back Cabin and the Main Cabin and really liked those cabins. Bottom line, Silver Gate is a beautiful area and the Silver Gate Cabins are a great place to stay…. Just avoid the Annex:). Have fun!

Excellent, cozy, rustic, and quiet spot! A solid place to get away, even if that's only from Bozeman.

Really enjoyed our stay at the lodge. It feels very authentic and is in a great location just outside of Yellowstone’s Northeast entrance. The lobby has wifi. Amenities are fantastic with a mini fridge, freezer, and microwave. The beds are also very comfortable and I had some of my best sleep here. Overall the place was very clean. However, make sure to bring your own shampoo as it’s not supplied!

A buffalo was also sitting right by our car when we woke up, which was a very cool experience.

Just 1 mile from the northeast entrance to Yellowstone, the location is close to the Lamar Valley, where a lot of wildlife can be seen. They offer cabins and motel-style rooms. We booked late and took a room. Rooms are low frills. Nice kitchenette. Only two lights - one main and one in the bathroom. Plenty of hot water and pressure in the shower. No cell service (pretty much in all of Yellowstone), and wifi is only available in the property's general store and front porch. No TV. After all, you're going to Yellowstone to experience nature's glory!
Bonus: if you stay at least 3 nights, you can borrow one of their high-powered (expensive!) spotting scopes for your entire stay at NO COST! We spotted mountain goats, a couple big horn sheep, and a golden eagle with ours.
The property is surrounded by mountains (see pics). Beautiful setting.
We HIGHLY recommend the "Guide Along" app. The app monitors your location in the park and offers recommendations on which sites to see as you get near them. It gives some history and/or science about the sites. You can skip the commentary by pressing the "X". The app suggested a few stops that we enjoyed but would have missed without the app.

Loved it. Room was clean and comfortable. Only stayed 2 nights, but wished we would have avoided the west side of Yellowstone and just stayed here for a week. Very quiet and the local people were so nice. We will be back soon!

We had a great time at Silver Gate. We'd never stayed in a cabin before so wonderful new experience. The staff was super friendly, especially the fire pit guy! The setting and scenery was beautiful. I loved sitting on the porch looking at the mountains. While there, I highly recommend booking a personal wildlife tour with Kate at Silver Gate Wildlife tours-it was the highlight of our Yellowstone experience.

Silvergate lodging provided me with a rustic and late 1800s vibe but it still didn't really have service and we found a mouse in our cabin, but that's not the lodgings fault, its nature. Overall, I highly suggest if you want to live like a western family And I bet you will not find a mouse in your cabin when you get a lodge here.

The cabin was amazing. The staff were very nice. They had a fire in front of the general store where people gathered and talked each night. It's only a mile from the Yellowstone park entrance. This end of the park has the best wildlife viewing. The only wifi is at the general store which is great to disconnect the kids for a while. I will be back.
