Sportsman Lodge & RV Park Montana's Finest, Melrose MT

We had a family reunion in Melrose and loved our stay at Sportsman Lodge. We were close to restaurants to be able to walk. Loved being in country scene. Loved having hummingbirds right outside door to watch. So relaxing and comfortable place. Definitely would stay there again.

We have stayed at Sportsman’s Lodge several times, in fact we go out of our way to stay there. We love the peaceful location, beautiful surroundings, conveniently located and perfect amenities. The owners are friendly and always welcoming. Can’t wait to go back.

We are travel agents, and have sent a few clients to Sportsman Lodge and RV Park who have raved about the friendly service, beautiful grounds and comfortable cabins! We are traveling ourselves to Mt Rushmore this spring and hope to come and stay ourselves in May, we're looking forward to checking out the fishing too! Can't wait!

Stayed in the RV Park last summer. Such a beautiful location and friendly staff. We were just passing through. Next time I'll bring my fly rod!

We came for a Wedding this last summer. What a surprise to find this absolutely beautiful treasure! We brought our 5th Wheel and enjoyed the clean, well maintained campground. We loved walking the small town. A cute restaurant is within walking distance of the RV Park. We are looking forward to returning and spending more time in this little piece of “Heaven on earth”. Ken and Bonnie are wonderful hosts!

Cabin was clean and cozy. I had a nice hot shower in the morning and the coffee was well stocked. It was a great spot to overnight during my road trip. I liked it so much that my husband and I are going back to spend a few days there this summer. Very kind and friendly too.

My son and I stayed in the Cabin during hunting season and we thought it was a great getaway! It is separate from the rest of the buildings so it is very private. It has a great history and we will be back!

Wonderful place, hosts, amenities! What a great spot and even better are the owners of the campground. They did everything they could to make sure that we had what we needed! The campground, showers, laundry room were spotless clean. There was a great fishing shop just round the corner and all services u need for your fishing trip. Campground is surrounded by absolutely beautiful mountains and rivers! Thank u!

True feeling of Montana. Staff was very helpful and informative. On-site side by side rentals, very affordable to see some awesome sites in the mountains. Looking forward to a return for great fishing close by.

Comfortable, well-maintained rooms & cabins in an idyllic, rural Montana setting with countryside and sunsets to die for - that’s the Sportsman Lodge for me. Ken and Bonnie are charming hosts, and each time I visit I marvel at the level of service they seem to effortlessly provide, their sense of humor and their total dedication. The Sportsman has always been special but the ongoing improvements Ken and Bonnie are making truly have taken it to the next level.

With their Melrose neighbors – the Hitchin’ Post and the Sunrise Fly Shop – only a stone’s throw away to cater for food/drink and all your other basic needs (ok I’m a fly fisherman so a bit biased there) this is a perfect destination. Don’t take my word for it, just book a visit - you won’t be disappointed!

We were able to spend a couple of days at Sportsman this past week. We had a great experience everything was a good as promised! We’re planning on being back in the spring. Everything was clean, quiet, and the staff was attentive.

Very nice. Clean and orderly room, easy check in. Beautiful views. Staff was easy and nice to work with. Enjoyed the stay.

Room and cabin we stayed in was very comfortable quiet and clean. Bonnie was very helpful and nice we really enjoyed are stay. Grounds around lodge kept up very nice with firer pit and activities to do. Differently will be making a return trip

A fabulous place to stay if you are into fishing/hunting but the best surprise is the quiet, serene and beauty of the place. I have spent over 6 weeks there this year and selected it as a conference spot for a new Composer's forum and retreat.
Hosts Ken and Bonnie are generous beyond what you would expect. It has become a gathering place for creativity and joyful spirit. A great bonus are the people you meet from everywhere who have become our friends around the fire each night. Add in the incredible scenery and backroads and you will find yourself in Spiritual Heaven. Throw in the hospitality of the rest of their family and you'll soon find your 2nd home.
PS: Don't even think about floating or fishing the Big Hole River with anyone else than their son Josh.
