Spotted Dog Cycles, Missoula MT

The owner, Joe, is an expert on bikepacking and has a ton of advice for where to ride in Montana. Earlier this year I approached him about a custom bike build, and we were able to make something perfect for me at a lower cost than I expected. I used to bounce around all the bike shops in Missoula, but Spotted Dog is the only place for me. 10/10 recommended.

We visited from Michigan and didn’t bring our bikes. Joe and Henry set us up for a great day riding at Marshal Mountain and Snowbowl. I highly recommend!

Fast, easy and friendly bike rentals. Bikes were great. The location is convenient to the Clark Fork bike trails. On-street parking is also a plus.

My wife and I rented bikes from Joe at Spotted Dog Cycles for a supported bike trip in Idaho that Joe then led. The bike rental experience was excellent and smooth. The bikes worked well, and Joe was helpful, knowledgeable and a very nice fellow. He and his companions were excellent and competent trip leaders. I can’t recommend Spotted Dog enough! The owner was very accommodating and helpful with coordinating a ride I got as a gift for my husband when he was visiting. My husband said he had an amazing time and said the employees were equally as awesome. Thank you for making this “one of the best gifts” for my husband!
