Until the owners learn to compensate, appreciate and KNOW their employees, things at this place are going to continue to decline! Better pay, benefits and respect at most any other business in town! DO NOT APPLY HERE! YOU will regret the decision!

Pharmacist was knowledgeable and helpful. Able to get all the groceries we needed. Interesting nonfood items and unique atmosphere! Friendly clerks.

Clean, well stocked. The person working on the delivery was less than friendly, I paid $54.00 for lunch meat, cheese, and rolls, she treated me as if I were a huge inconvenience.

Very poor customer service! I was only connected with a cashier who said she was to busy to check on 2 items I needled. What ever happened to their stockers/courtesy clerks!? When it was Safeway and I worked there, customer service was a top priority!

This store has the best selection of groceries in the area. The hours are great.

Here’s the truth.

These prices aren’t even acceptable in Alaska. I am embarrassed that this store is in Anaconda and I feel bad people shop here when they’re getting ripped off. Regardless of inflation, they were always ridiculous. I don’t know how people can afford it. The employees are usually nice towards me, but ive seen the rudeness. The cashiers are slow and I have felt guilty when I had a cart full of groceries and 5 people in line behind us. They need an aisle open all day that is for a dozen or less items.

Pharmacy is great. The techs are very nice and the pharmacists have gone above and beyond to help our family.

How about that rewards program? You need to spend hundreds of dollars to save a couple of dollars. Not worth it. You have better odds finding cash on the ground than to save with that program.

As with most places in rural Montana you need to go to a bigger city to save some money. It’s worth the gas and time.

Best tip I could give you when shopping in town. Know what you get, know the prices and jump between Stokes and Albertsons to save. Shop the sales. Or go to Helena Missoula or Bozeman and save altogether.

I’m praying we get another grocery store here or a Costco. Please God give us a Costco in this area.

We were looking for a christmas, they had what we were looking for. Nice clerk came and put in our truck for us.

Doors were locked when the store was scheduled open. Finally got someone to the door, and they said they had different hours, which had no posting anywhere on the store doors.

Nice selections. Prices are going up. Like everywhere else. And there is the attached hardware store. Adds a level of convenience of you need a few food items and some new tools.

Everyone has been super nice until now but in all fairness I had to take my good review down. To explain, I have to use a back pack to lug my groceries home on a regular basis because I can't drive due to my eyesight. I am actually a woman so you know.
I cannot believe I was followed around the store and verbally harrased because of a back pack in my cart. By a store manager named May. She had already been unessesarily rude to me when I was purchasing a drink because I made small talk and told me very bluntly that she didnt need to know about the thing I was discussing. Then when I resumed shopping she followed me to the deli and and told me in the most ugly way that they would be watching me on camera after stating her displeasure about the fact I had a backpack. I mean flat out accused me of shoplifting. I just gave up and showed another checker the contents of my back pack and she decided to come over to that checkout further harrassing me in front of the whole store. I had already put back my items and discontinued shopping because of her hassling and stalking me.
I will not go back to Stokes
because even after I explained why I needed a backpack and showed I had taken nothing she continued to berate in front of everyone and kick me out even though I was already leaving. She was getting in my face and I'm 53 years old and an honest person. To be fair as i was getting my backpack out of the cart to leave I said whacko to myself which was also rude then she popped out of nowhere, waved her arms and called me a stupid "B" for all to hear. Yup.not going there again. I don't know how she even got a managerial position in the first place and won't waste my time walking to a store that profiles its customers. Good riddance to bad rubbish.
Albertsons has been kind and that's where I will keep going as they appreciate my business. One rotten apple has spoiled the barrel. All I can say is that I feel sorry for her coworkers.

We always like Stokes, we liked it when they had one in Butte, don't know why they relocated

We always go to this grocery store when visiting Anaconda. The clerks and customer service here are all so friendly and helpful. Good prices and a plentiful selection of all products.

I cant believe that they charge $17.99 for an 8 pc. Fried Chicken. Come on Stokes, talk about price gouging. Left w/o buying a thing, went to Albertsons and got an 8 pc. MEAL, For $12.99.

Great little market for a small town. We had their lunch special chicken fried steak mashed potatoes, corn and a roll for less than $10, it was pretty darn good. Great selection as any franchise grocery store. Staff very helpful and kind. Clean restrooms.

Apparently the employees at Stokes is as liberal as the owners. Tried calling for a price check and whoever answered just huffed and hung up on me. Will never grace that store again

Convenient having the grocery store and hardware store together. I can usually find what I need here. They're a little higher priced on most things but closer to my home so worth it to me.

A good meat selection, and the cashier who waited on us was great. The True Value store connected to it makes it nice to pick up anything you might need as well.

Weekend checker struggles and makes dumb decisions then treats the customer rudely when something is said. Groceries are too expensive to have employees causing damage to the products. Sorry, but I'm not paying for damaged goods nor will I go thru this checkers line ever again.
