Sundown Motel, Stanford MT

My husband and I recently moved his mother to Stanford and needed a place to stay away from the family and this motel happens to be next door. The room is comfortable and beautiful and the little complementary chocolate was incredible. I'm from the Carbon County area and it's always nice to come across small towns like my own. Thank you so much!

We hit an ice storm just outside of town at 11pm and saw there was a motel ahead right on the highway. The online reservation process was very simple. Having the door code texted for contactless check-in was great, that way I had the code with me and no key to fuss with. Then the *warm flannel sheets*! Oh, so wonderful and cozy. The bed was so comfy after traveling for so long. The room was clean with plenty of blankets and towels. The area is quiet for a much needed night of rest. The owners were so helpful while we worked to navigate the last leg of our trip. Very accommodating and kind! Thank you!

Love this place! Clean and comfortable. I have stayed here a few times over the years while hunting and the new owners have made some nice improvements and are very accommodating I'll be staying here again.

No accountability what so ever from the manager. Plays super nice but if something isn't working, it's your fault, no question.

We were traveling from Oregon to Minnesota and planning to stay in Great Falls but hotel prices were crazy high. We kept traveling and came across the last room at this place. Check in was so easy, extra pillows and blankets were left for our party. Room so welcoming, clean and sweet! Bed and covers cozy. Quiet. No outside road noise heard. Best room we've been in the whole trip. Such a welcome surprise.

Sundown motel is awesome. Very clean, quiet and comfortable. The price is also amazing. Well done and highly recommended.

Super cute and super clean! Perfect stop along our way. Easy door-code check in, with fridge, microwave & kettle. Decorated way nicer than your typical roadside motel, carpet appeared brand new with good quality linens. A very nice surprise!

Outstanding "little" motel. I was forced to get a place because of stormy weather and was initially leary about the place, until I got into the room.
Oh my, this is a crazy nice place! Everything worked, it was clean and I absolutely love the "feel" of the place.
I will stay here again in the future and urge anyone looking for a roadside/quiet/clean/safe/homey feeling motel to stop in for a stay.

This was my second time as a guest at the Sundown motel. Both times I found the staff to be very friendly and accommodating. The room I stayed in had everything I needed and was priced very reasonably.

Such a cute little place in a small town, very friendly staff, accommodating, pet friendly, and all around a great place to stay! I highly recommend if you’re looking for a quiet little spot for the night!

I love this motel, so clean nice to the eyes, smells good, awesome check in, bed was so comfy. Enough blankets, service awesome, this place is so Quant. I will be back every time I cone through here, bar and grill rite close, awesome.

4.75/5 Was a bit hesitant about pulling into a hotel right off the highway, but was very pleasantly surprised! Very easy check in. The king sized bed was great - nice mattress, flannel sheets, nice and warm! Room is furnished with a couple of chairs, a mini-fridge, microwave, hot water kettle, and direct TV. Only downside was the bathroom kind of stunk, but just ran the fan and kept the bathroom door closed. For the price, you can't go wrong!

A quiet gem of a motel. You can sleep well here. Clean, cute and accommodating. Bev is a wonderful host. She booked us in on short notice. The pet fee is the most reasonable of any motel I have stayed at. Clean sheets, clean bathroom, warm and cozy place. Also the matress was super comfortable. Highly recommend to anyone needing to stop and rest for the night.

Joy looked after us and helped us out immensely with a special unexpected need. The rooms were very clean, the view from the room was spectacular. Unfortunately, we were traveling through and only spent 1 night. I would love to spend a weekend to just decompress with the peace and quiet and the view.

I have had a bad habit of asking for a room on short notice because of work and they have accommodated me. Rates are excellent, room is always clean and there is no fuss for a reservation. Can't recommend enough

Locally family owned, clean and we'll kept, convenient to the highway. Rooms and bathrooms are remodeled with new fixtures, central heat and air, etc. This is a hidden gem in big sky country. Owners are wonderful folks
