This is the best bike shop in Bozeman. Coming from someone who has loved bicycles their entire life, it feels like home when you walk in. Super knowledgeable and helpful staff.
My journey with The Gear Wizard began in the 2020 bike shortage. I really wanted a Marin Gestalt and called them figuring they wouldn’t have anything in stock, low and behold they had one left that was the exact size they were looking for. It was super easy and fun to buy a bike from them and every time I’ve been back to the shop to have anything done to my bike they’ve been a joy to work with. Even when the shops full to the brim with bikes and customers are everywhere I still feel like someone’s looking out for me.
Wow! Love this place! I don’t know much about bikes and I ended up purchasing a bike that was made in 1953 in New York. I took it over to The Gear Wizard and Brian helped me fix a few kinks on the bike. He also added a basket and bell for me. Brian made me aware of what to look for in the bike while riding to prevent any further damage or breakdown. I will definitely go back when it comes time to purchase a mountain bike!
