The Merc reviews
14Not handicap accessible, no grab and go food available for folks with EBT benefits. Which means no fresh food available for those members of the community that need assistance.let’s be clear I do not receive benefits, I witnessed the very nice and respectful woman behind the non deli counter explain the new set up to an elderly woman with snap benefits that couldn’t buy and grab and go food. When I did purchased a salad from the deli, the lettuce was once again brown and slimy, the tomatoes were moldy which is concerning as the owners also own local Bounti, a fresh lettuce company, the hours are terrible 7-3 not open Sunday, this meant, I could not return or get a replacement salad, which was overpriced at 12.99 anyway. The merc is no longer a place locals can get basics and visitors can have a fun shopping experience, the merc is isolating itself from locals and catering to other folks, while creating a significant food dessert for those that live with less or have mobility issues.
Great burgers and my only reliable source for Wilcoxins (?) licorice ice cream. Friendly service.
This place has alittle of everything you need. Nice girl working just wish they was open later
Great place with good food and amazing service. They had seating areas and a microwave that you could use for free.
The Merc has a surprising amount of things you wouldn't expect from a store this tiny. Organic products and obscure Ingredients are almost all here. However there is a definite mark up due to convenience. (2 to 3 dollars depending upon item) Also the new name "Bowers market" is ridiculous and it's still the merc.
Used to love coming to the merc, but now it's a little pricey. The good side is, all of the employees I've interacted with are very kind and helpful
A great little spot to get gas, food & drink, local art and wares and everything in between.
Great lil town store. A bit overpriced for my liking so I don't buy much. Great gift store though. Always buying the jewelry and necessities. Really nice people and clean store!
More on the costy side since they know high schoolers are more likely to frequent here, especially if they don't have a car. Though the people working here are super nice, and the foods are good. Though most of the time the coolers don't keep the drinks cold
Everything here is super expensive, we bought a little bottle of hidden valley ranch for $11. But they do have other supplies such as winter clothing.
This place offers amazing hand scooped ice cream and hot, fresh food. So many different Items you may need and also offers gas. There French fries a rd e amazing.
Great service! Friendly helpful staff. Good deli selection. Groceries, Ice Cream, Fuel, Unique gifts who could ask for anything more?
The Merc has everything. Organic food, decor for your home, and an amazing deli with some of the best food ever. They recently made some changes that are the best. They have a bakery and a meat section now. They have beef jerky too! The huckleberry shakes are my fave. Def check out the Merc, you will not be disappointed!
I love this little place! I can get gluten free deli items (my fav are the chicken strips). They're a bit more pricey then they used to be (was 1 lb for $10, now $1 per strip) they aren't as big as regular chicken strips but are good! There is just about anything you can think of, from ice cream scooped to order, MT souvenirs & T-shirts, cute signs and unique household or camper things, old time games to the regular items you'd find in a gas station. Definitely worth a stop if your in the area!
