West Glacier RV Park reviews
17We rented a cabin for four nights. We enjoyed our stay, the room is very clean, the kitchen is up to date, there is even a bbq grill, very convenient. The staffs are very polite and very helpful. Highly recommended.
Don’t be deceived by the photos. Really pricey for what you get! Dead grass, trees & plants, dog feces in sites, lovely sewer smell, virtually no maintenance upkeep, only thing green are the weeds!
Large spaces, great hook ups and within walking distance to several bars, restaurants and shops. Plus the closest RV Park to the West Entrance for Glacier Park. The perfect Basecamp for exploring all Glacier has to offer.
Advised the young man when we checked in had good sam, he never entered it. Then when checked out Ryan stated he couldn't add so now waiting on the third person who can supposedly add discount. This is an over priced park. This park is good for location, and that is all. No trees, sun goes down on campers front door side so extremely hot. Grass, shrubs and trees are dead or dieing. No one cleans out the fire pits ours had trash in it. Very disappointing for the price per night.
Perhaps the best RV park we've ever visited. All new, with generous spaces and full hookups, this park is literally in the shadow of Glacier National Park, right off Going-to-the-Sun Road. Laundry, bathhouses, a playground - you could not ask for a better location. Highly recommended.
We spent a week at Glacier West RV in early August and couldn't have been more pleased! Roomy and clean sites, great laundry and bath houses and walking distance to Glacier West Village. Only one mile to the West Park Entrance. Staff so friendly and pleasant! Would definitely stay again
This place is great! Really clean, impeccably maintained, cozy wooded spots, clean bathrooms and showers (a little tight inside, but that’s ok), really nice staff, laundry, a yummy cafe onsite, and so much more. Minutes from the West Glacier entrance, I definitely recommend this place!
Great location, great amenities, great spacious level sites, zero privacy. Reliable full hookups sites, with 50amp, all/ most pull through sites. Convenient access to Going to the Sun road and West Glacier Village, quick bike ride (with small incline) to the village with shops, groceries, restaurant, mini golf and recreation planning. No activities, no pool, just straight up camping. Good place.
Clean, pleasant RV park. Nice wide pull thru spaces. Great for kids, with a small playground and a short paved walk to mini golf, stores & restaurants, as well as the river.
Large RV park with a motel and cabins for rent. We stayed in one of the nicely renovated cabins. It was so convenient to have air conditioning, a refrigerator and stove! Plenty of amenities. Gas grill and laundry facilites close by. It's also great that this was so close to the park!
Very nice RV park with lots to do in West Glacier Village within a short walk. Very close to park's west entrance.
Beautiful well appointed cabin right on going to the sun road west end. Like having your own tiny house. My only regret is not being able to stay longer.
Absolutely love this place and we had a wonderful time staying there. It’s relatively new and the trees are still small, but it’s clean, well maintained and the staff was super friendly. You are very close to the entrance to the park and local amenities such as the golf course. So bring your sticks. The bathrooms/showers were very clean and the laundry facility had several machines to use. I’d definitely stay here in the future.
Very well maintained CG. In order to do that their lawn mowers and string trimmers work every morning until noon. If you don't like trains and sleep with your windows open this place is not for you. There is zero shade. No pool, dog park looks nice, only a small playground. This CG is very close to the West gate however in order to get to the CG you MUST pass under a 13'6" bridge. That fact is not on their web-site. You don't know this until you are right at the bridge with no place to turn around.
I love this place! Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at West Glacier RV and Cabins. The location was perfect! Easily accessible to town (Columbia Falls), the park entrance, Apgar Village, and the eateries/shops/activities at West Glacier Village. It was especially nice that there was a paved trail over to the village, which we used at least a couple times a day.
Our cabin was super cute, comfortable, clean, and had everything we needed to make a few meals “at-home” while we were on vacation. I didn’t know how complete our kitchen would be, but it had:
Sink
Refrigerator/freezer
2 cooktop burner
Small Propane grill
Toaster
4 c coffee maker (size #2 cone coffee filters)
Microwave
Dishwasher
Flatware/dinnerware/drinkware
Pots/skillets
Large serving bowl
(Just no oven or sheet pans)
Hopefully this helps some people plan their meals ahead of time better than I was able too because the Village Grocery was EXTREMELY expensive.
If I had anything more to suggest it would maybe be to add a couple hooks inside to hang hats/coats/etc. And, we weren’t able to sit outside and enjoy the scenery, sip our morning coffee, or roast marshmallows by the fire, while we were there because there is NO shade from trees or structures. (To be fair, apparently the week we were there was a scorcher). Each cabin does have a covered porch, but the way our row was oriented left no reprieve from the sun from 6am-9pm.
Lovely RV park. Clean, well kept, full hookups, nice size camping areas, nice bath houses, laundry facility onsite, small store, playground, family friendly, cabins & pet friendly. This is our 2nd visit here, will return again.
A Wonderful well maintained rv park. It is right outside the west gate and has a little village you can walk to and get some food to eat and some groceries as well. We Enjoyed going to Belton Chalet for a delicious meal! The people that work at West gate are very helpful and kind! Laundry rm clean and $2.00 a load. LOVED the area, however the rain caused flooding and we weren't able to hike like we planned. Hope to b back in the future.
