Yesterday's Soda Fountain and Restaurant, Ennis MT

When doing research for a trip to Montana / Yellowstone, I saw comments several times about the Fabulous Huckleberry milkshakes at Yesterdays Soda Fountain in Ennis. So we made a point to stop and have lunch while we were in Ennis. Lunch was ok, but the huckleberry shakes are absolutely as good as they say they are, you're really going to miss out if you're passing through Ennis and don't stop for one!

1.5 HOURS FOR COLD FOOD AND MEDIOCRE SERVICE. I understand sometimes places can get busy or be understaffed but I think good communication can go a long way. After waiting over an hour I asked my sever for a water refill and the status of my food. I think good severs check in with their tables to see if they need refills and apologize for the long wait rather than customers having to flag down a server for status. The staff were arguing and no one seemed to be helping and apparently even the cook left. Unseasoned cold burger and burnt hash browns. I won't be coming back for breakfast here.

We live in Circle MT and had to drive to Bozeman for a medical procedure. We took a detour on the way home to visit Virginia City and stopped in Ennis to get something to eat. This little cafe was absolutely phenomenal. The restaurant was clean and bright. The staff was incredibly welcoming and gave us excellent service. And when the food came out let me tell you this is one of the best meals me and my husband have had in a long time. My husband ordered the biscuits and gravy with hash browns and a side of eggs. The gravy was top notch delicious. The biscuits look like they were homemade. The hash browns were grilled to absolute perfection. I ordered a half of a ham and cheese sandwich and a cup of the soup of the day. The soup of the day was a green chili with chicken. This soup was so good I had to meet the cook. The flavor was just mouth watering. There was a ton of chicken in it and fresh vegetables. This was probably the best soup I've ever gotten at a restaurant and I eat a lot of soup at restaurants. We want to take our kids with us out there so they can see West Yellowstone and I cannot wait to take them to this restaurant just so that I can eat there again. Prices were also very good. They kept the coffee flowing. Would 100% recommend this restaurant to absolutely anyone. We also found the signs in the bathrooms hilarious

The food was good. We had breakfast. It isn't bringing peace to the middle east or anything, but it was good. The service lacked, as they are apparently low on staff and the wait was a bit much. Friendly server though.

Nice old-fashioned diner with 1950s charm. It’s located inside a pharmacy somehow, which is kind of strange (but no problem whatsoever). The food was great as expected, the staff was friendly. Make sure to definitely order a huckleberry milkshake!

Not a bad place. Friendly service, food was good. Great Soda fountain. Milkshake was great. Cheese burger was good. Fries were a little over done, but still good.

Can’t speak for the food, they would let us have any. Went in asking for carry-out, they said no and we’re very rude about it.
Well, if don’t want to do carry out, then don’t have it listed on your business profile.

We had a very tasty breakfast at quite reasonable prices. That was nice to find, as this was the only place we found open at 6 a.m.

The majority of customers on this morning were locals, but we felt welcome.

You absolutely need to stop here
Everyone is great and the food was fantastic. What a great place.

Nothing stood out. Service was great, food just normal for a diner. Indian fry bread only available during breakfast.

Located in the old part of downtown this Pharmacy has a restaurant and I had breakfast and it was delicious Just Like Home Style it also has a home style old fashioned soda jerk Fountain where you can get shakes or malts. The prices were very reasonable at the restaurant. It's easy to park you park on the main street. Very clean inside and very clean outside. The staff are very very nice. There might be a slight weight because of shortage of staff.

Really nice old fashion style restaurant. We were able to be seated right away. The server was nice and helpful with describing the option. Shakes were great and highly recommended. All food items were really good and portions were of decent size. The only thing I found disappointing was the desert - Chocolate Cake. It was ok tasting at best, but the price was rather high for such a small piece and that turned me off. Got an Expresso coffee on the way out from the coffee bar. Tasted good however was not as hot as I would have expected.

Generaly a fine place for breakfast.
I would award five stars except that when my cosin ordered poached eggs and was served basted eggs. The server explained that "we don't poach eggs". Why she didn't say that when he ordered poached we will never know.

I stop here for breakfast every year when I travel to Yellowstone. Good food and good prices

The breakfast here was phenomenal! The restraunt was so cute and had a great atmosphere. You have to check out this cute little place and get a shake

WE ordered an omelet, scone, scoop of ice cream and a brownie sundae. Everything was delicious, and they took great care of making all our changes to the order. They were out of brownies, which was disappointing, but the place was busy, and my boy didn't mind at all once she brought it the ice cream sundae dropping in hot fudge, and ripped with whipped cream! I would Definately go again!

The malt was fantastic while the 1/2 lb burger was more like a 1/4 lb of charcoal. And for the price not happy with it.
