Cactus Petes Resort Casino reviews
17Haven't tried the food here yet but if you're wanting a getaway from normal life it's a good place to stop and take a break.
The food at the restaurant was very very old and nasty. Looking around at the employees from the front desk to the restaurant I can tell that people are not engaged that work there they look very unhappy and not motivated. Who would put rotten broccoli on the plate of food with the salmon. The lemons look like they were 5 days old
By far the biggest ripp off in the state of Nevada, I never expect to win but I do expect to have fun no fun at all at cactus Pete's casino the gaming commission needs to take a look at this Chinese casino
This place has become totally awful. I got a letter in the mail saying they'll comp me 3 nights. I get there totally exhausted they won't let me book a room until the next day. Ok. Tables now shutdown at night too. So I try their video blackjack. These blackjack machines won about 75-80% of the time. Raise a complaint with any employees, they're not helpful. I mean it's blackjack right? The expectation would be casino winning like 52% of the time max over time. Save your dignity and stay across the street. I don't want this mail anymore. I don't want to hear about this crooked place no more.
We stopped for lunch buffet. A little nicer than most casino buffets. Decent amount of healthy options. Nicely prepared. Good place to stop on a long drive. Clean restrooms and free coffee and soda nearby the restrooms.
REALLY REALLY BAD.
BAD FOOD. WATERED DOWN LOBSTER MAC AND CHEESE AND FAVORLESS ROAST BEEF DIP AND FRIES.
GREEN POOL.
IF YOU WANT CHEAP ALL AROUND THEN THIS IS YOUR PLACE.
IT'S EVEN TO EXPENSIVE FOR CHEAP. EVERYTHING IS
Rooms are overpriced don't come with a microwave went to the restaurant to get dinner last night wanted to warm my food up the next day the restaurant wasn't allowed to heat up the for any guest no place for guests to heat up food overall nice pool over price for not providing certain amenities in rooms
This place used to be the place to go back in the 90's! On any given weekend, it was packed with people and getting from one side of the casino to the other could be a challenge. Anymore, I am surprised the town is still functioning, it never seems to be busy.
The taco truck in the parking lot was awesome! The extras cactus petes give are double awesome!
We always enjoy Cactus Pete's! But it sure would be nice if the buffet was open again!
Love the location - convenient to highway access between destinations north and south - and free, no-hassle wifi. However, the Horseshu is desperately in need of remodeling - electrical outlets are scarce and so worn out they can't hold a plug in the socket. Some lamps don't work, the drapes don't close completely, no USB ports in the rooms and no refrigerator in the rooms.
Nice place to see a concert. But the cooler/heater quit at 3 am. It was so hot in that room. They would not even discount the room. The kids at the front desk tried to help me out but the manager was not a nice guy.
Our favorite stop so far on a month long road trip. Older but very well maintained casino with table games and lots of slots. Food is phenomenal we had dinner and breakfast. RV Park has shaded sites with full hookups just $26, leave your envelope in the door slot. Beautiful pool and spa area with huge trees half of which smell like honeysuckle. So glad we stopped here for the night!
Heidi was our server in the restaurant, and she went above and beyond when my wife had a reaction to the MSG that was in the food (which was delicious). Heidi got allergy medicine for my wife and removed the charge for my wife's food. Heidi's service gets all the stars, but the menu should be revised to include that the food has MSG.
It was subpar. It was a lot of fun, if you smoke. It was absolutely hotboxed especially on the gift store side. They don't have ample ventilation. Best part was that you had to wear a mask when we went, all while they smoked, indoors.it's a joke. Get out of the 90s and make ur retired folks burning their social security go out to smoken not even Vegas allows smoking IN THE CASINO. Won't be going back
Even on a Sunday night; Very welcoming staff. Thank you so much for truck parking and genuine hospitality.
