The Rock Church Thrift Store reviews
10This is my favorite shop in town because of the staff, the quality of the items and the weekly discount deals.
Showed up 5 minutes before closing wanting to spend some money basically kicked me out lock the door won't be coming back here again drove a ways.
A few weeks ago my truck got broken into I live in my truck my whole bag of clothes was stolen I had a few dollars on me I told them the situation without hesitation they gave me four outfits for free now when I go in I make sure to put a dollar in the donation box they are so awesome always nice and the prices you can not beat they have a clearance section that is a dollar per item and the shorts are 2 dollars right now you can't beat that always smiles and kindness when I go in there I'm so thankful for there blessings
My husband and I frequently visit this thrift store. We'd go every other week and I always found treasures. Today I was shocked to see how this is no longer a nice affordable place to visit but some kind of outrageously high priced store! Pyrex higher then ebay - Ripped coach Purse and others priced higher than Posh! A 13 by 9 stone at 25.00 and a 50.00 pair of tennis shoes in very used condition. THEY LOST ME! I will never go back or recommend this place again. They need to stay off Google! How does this help people in need? Yikes
My family and I love the ROCK Thrift Store. We have been going there for years, we go in at least once a week and some weeks two or three times in a week. They don't take junk like other thrift stores do. It's a great place to donate quality items as well as to purchase quality items. If you feel the price of something is to high talk to the people working there and they may adjust the price for you.
This is the best thrift store in town. I can't believe all the great deals.
The staff is awesome!
The Rock thrift store is a church ran thrift store in a good neighborhood with a lot of good donations. Stock changes daily and is priced fairly most of the time. If you are in need, don't steal, just let the people behind the counter know what you need and if you are truly in need they will give it to you
This place ROCKS! It's a smaller store so you'll have to go often to find the things you're looking for. The prices really can't be beat. Everything is so cheap! The ladies who run the store are really sweet and helpful.
This was a wonderful place to shop.until it wasn’t!
As a Christian woman (albeit flawed like all of us) I truly enjoyed sharing some of my tithe money to support this church thrift shop each week. They have a nice selection of useful items, and I liked the staff. Chris is always kind, and Donna was too. After the Covid-19 pandemic began to play out they were not very conscientious about enforcing the six foot rule during checkout process, in spite of clear yellow tape lines, and unfortunately I found myself in a verbal altercation with a woman who was very aggressive with me when I asked her to back up to the yellow line behind me (she was pushing within a foot or two of myself every time I tried to move away). She was a customer like myself, and used foul language to express herself and her displeasure about being asked to stand 6’ away.
To make matters worse, the gal Erica who manages this shop decided to take offense at “my” tone of voice (I have a communication disability which elevates when in conflict — it was not “what” I was saying but my tone she didn’t like). I was then informed that she (Staff Erica) decided I was not to shop there any more.not to mention without wearing a mask on herself. I decided to reach out to their pastor by phone and see what I should do to make amends, if I had truly done something wrong (which I didn’t feel I had). Strange enough, I was referred to their assistant pastor Andy, who had a worse attitude than the gal Erica. He was very arrogant, and unlike any pastor I’ve ever encountered (having grown up in the Protestant Church my whole life). He went on how he knew Erica for 10 years, as if that had anything to do with the problem of being discriminated against, which I felt I was. I was so disappointed in the arrogance of this church pastor’s attitude, and can’t help thinking about what unbelievers must think of us when encountering folks like this — I asked this pastor to pray with me, and let the Holy Spirit guide a healing process. It was unsuccessful in spite of my reaching out several times. Scripture teaches us that if someone refuses to accept us in their home (in this case their fundraising venture store) then we as believers are supposed to just walk away, and shake off the dust from our heels.harder to practice this than I thought, I always want to ‘fix things’ but sometimes we just have to let God advocate on our behalf.
Vengeance is mine says the Lord — I pray for that body of believers who are placing their trust in such stubborn hearted, and unkind leaders — I wanted to initially file a secular discrimination suit against the church for their behavior, but in my heart God just wants me to pray for them. I find it difficult to pray for arrogant people, so I need help from the Lord’s Spirit. I am grateful for Jesus, and his love for my wretched soul — and truly grateful to God’s Holy Spirit who comforts and safely guides my own rebellious heart.
