Walked in today looking for an M39 body-cap for my Canon 7s. They weren’t sure if they have one because their focus is on digital gear but they did and the owner just gave it to me. Very kind people and a really nice store! They have film in stock and a lot of gear. I really appreciate them

Super patient & helpful. I walked in explained what I wanted in non technical terms (bird/wildlife photos) and got a kind and informed lesson on the type of camera I was looking for. The staff are helpful & funny & they gave off a great vibe. I love my new camera and I know I can go back there, ask questions and feel comfortable. Nobody working there is doing the hard sell nor do they have a condescending attitude, which I why I know I will be going back there again.

I’ve had 3 visits to the shop this week. One to make a purchase. Second one to take a deeper dive into the camera I purchased. The third visit was to attend one of their regular sessions on various photography topics.

Harold was extremely helpful in selecting the perfect camera for my preferences and the type of photography I focus on. A spend another hour with Harold walking me through the camera.

The Saturday morning session on framing was well run, very informative, and well attended.

I found Bergen County Camera in the last two years after a recommendation by a fellow photographer. Despite NOT living near to Bergen County or its namesake store, I've made many trips to the store over the last two years in search of various lenses and accessories. During almost every trip, I've found what I needed and on several occasions, after first viewing product availability, I called the store first, asked them to set the the item aside and they did so gladly when I told them I'd be there that day to view and purchase that item.

While some camera stores have retail sales clerks, all of the people involved with direct sales who work at Bergen County Camera are accomplished professional photographers in their own right. I've deliberately stood by and watched how these people gladly share their expertise with folks new to photography and with little product knowledge. From my experience they do not push any one brand over another, but instead inquire as to what the customer intends to photograph, what their skill level is and what kind of budget they have. They then work with that customer to find a suitable equipment solution.

After the purchase, the store offers additional time explaining and setting up the camera so that the customer will be able to use it effectively right out of the box. The same applies to lenses and other accessories.

On my forays from Morris County to the store, I've purchased lenses, gimbals for tripods and other accessories. The store itself is well stocked with accessories from the major brands as well as third party providers. You will often be able to find smaller or less well known accessories there as well, to include many that are NOT offered by the major brands.

Pricing, especially on used gear is fair and reasonable and I've benefited from major savings buying gently used gear or refurbished products that are available at good price points.

Quick and easy service. I needed to get my lens cap replaced and they just needed to know what lens and the filter size. They did not try to sell me on any other products and I felt that this was an easy process

I was looking to get my Leica iiif repaired which sat unused since the mid 60's. After contacting numerous shops I was told 4+ month turnover time. Bergen County Camera was able to repair the camera shutter and original lenses and get it back to me in just 3 weeks at a very fair price. Could not have been more pleased with this shop!

No other place has worked so hard to find me specific cameras/lenses used. I was looking to buy a used Fujifilm XT3 and Tom spent weeks searching for one, had it delivered to BCC, and sold it to me at an unbeatable price. Tom and the store care about you, your passion, and your general well-being. Sometimes I visit the store just to chat for a while, catch up, and share what I've been up to.
Before purchasing, I was able to test out various cameras in the store and get a feel for what I truly wanted before buying. Last month I purchased my first film camera and I was taught the ins and outs of how to work it, purchased a film roll for $12, and was ready to start shooting. I've been going to BCC for 4 years now and can't imagine going somewhere else.

Bought a pre owned Leica d-lux 6. I love it. Salesman patently addressed all of my questions & has a wealth of knowledge. I'll return in future for all my photography needs.

An amazing camera store with a friendly knowledgeable staff. I have been interested in high-level photography since 1969. I had purchased digital cameras in the past and the new Sony a 7iv intrigued me and I purchased it along with the 24-70 mm lens. I then found that Nikon made a 45 megapixel camera 10 megapixels more than less and I was questioning my purchase. I called Bergen County Camera and got a fellow named Bob on the phone who was very knowledgeable about Digital Cameras and he explained to me how I made a very wise decision in that the Sony that I purchased would suit my needs better than the higher megapixel Nikon in that I was going to use this camera not only to make YouTube videos but to take on trips and take high-quality photographs. I found my experience to be at excellent and Would recommend Bergen County camera anyone interested in purchasing one be it ultra high end or an entry-level point and shoot

I have been a camera buff since 1969 and have experience with medium format Hasselblad cameras as well. I recently purchased a Sony A7IV with 35 mp and amazing video capabilities. Shortly after my purchase I found Nikon makes a 45 mp camera so I called Bergen Camera where I purchased the Sony a week earlier but didnt open it yet. A fellow named Bob spoke to me at length about my needs and assured me the Sony would fulfill my requirements better than the more expensive Nikon because the video focusing on the Sony was more advanced, I appreciated his honesty. This store is the real deal for camera buffs and a great knowledgable sales staff. You wont regret dealing with them.
