I got there with the recommendation of a friend, who had a more complicated case than mine, she told me he was the only lawyer who can help her at that moment, that he was side by side with her in all the courts, in the whole process, that he saved her life. After that story, reading all the positive reviews, and seeing that he also likes wrestling (my husband and I love it: D) I decided to go in person. I was afraid of him being straight or rude, like some others we had talked to. But when we got inside the room, it was completely the opposite, I felt very comfortable, he was very kind, polite, attentive, he treated us very well, he was very patient explaining step by step about my case, about what could work, what couldn't work, strategies that we could use. He gave us a lot of security and knowledge about everything. When I got at the office, being honest, I was devastated, scared, done, and panicked, after receiving news that I would have a deportation process on my behalf, due to the error of another lawyer who did not know how to handle my case, and by the end, he disappeared. I could be in jail or deported. I was really sad and traumatized by the whole situation. But talking to him was like an angel who fell from heaven. I felt very welcomed and hopeless again. And by the end, Dr Harlam didn’t put any pressure on me to close with him, instead it, he told me to go home, think about everything we talked about calmly, and then return if I decided to hire him, I loved his attitude, very contrary of to many. The same week I returned, and I did my case with him, and we started working on the case right away, My husband and I, we loved to meet him.
Also everyone on the team is wonderful, Barbara was always very patient and helpful with everything, all the girls from the reception are great. By the end, it wasn't Dr. Harlam who did my process, he directed me to a wonderful lawyer, he helped me in all steps.
Since then, I feel very confident, I still haven't finished my process yet, I'm in the middle of it, but I’m very convinced that everything will be fine pretty soon. Harlan York, ESQ is really the best immigration lawyer of America. He took our (my wife and I) case almost ten years ago when we were under deportation proceedings. It was in fact dead case. However, he had very well-grounded and clear appearance in the Immigration Court in Newark. Deportation proceedings were removed, we got green cards in 2011 and now we are American citizens from 2016. We vote for Mr. York not by one, but by two hands.
