During our search for an apartment in Lower Manhattan, we ran into an individual who is probably the most caring and effective leasing professional we dealt with in this process. Matthew Kovalsky went above and beyond to make sure we felt comfortable and made himself available to our family. He was extremely knowledgeable of the property, the neighborhood and even surrounding neighbors. You can consider yourself in very good hands if you end up working with him.

Some basic amenities are absent that I’ve always had in other high rises such as.coffee.or a work station/printer room. Neither is something I need, just something I’ve noticed. Doormen are mostly helpful. Management is.decent I suppose. There’s definitely a wow factor to the building, although at times it seems some core pieces/personality are missing.

19 Dutch is absolutely a luminous star among many apartments in New York City. They have both excellent and astonishing amenities and services. More importantly, the associative and managers are super nice in the building, where they take good care of everything of you.

It’s been a pleasure living in this place, very nice doorman such as David, Keith and Gerison. The community is brilliant, with Joes Pizza right down the street and several other nice restaurants around. The sky roof is phenomenon, great place to treat some friends on summer nights. The management team has put efforts to preserve privacy and comfort environment at this place and you will feel well-deserved the rent you paid.

19 Dutch has gorgeously designed common areas in the building. However, the management office is not very professional and welcoming. On my fist move in day, they didn't leave a key at the front desk, and when I went to the office to pickup my key, they told me the office is closed at 5pm, while they told me to move in at 5: 30pm that day. Also, when I requested for a spare key, the management lady told me to email her to explain why I needed a spare key? Also, when the furniture company arrived, the management was giving them a hard time. Furthermore, the apartment door doesn't have a doorbell, and it's not soundproof. Some of the doormen are very friendly, such as Keith.

19 Dutch is really a gem. The building and management staff are helpful, friendly and excellent at what they do. Every space here (communal to individual) is thoughtfully and meticulously crafted to be unique and inviting. The apartments themselves are spacious, packed with amazing amenities, including in-unit washer/dryers (game changer) and top of the line appliances. Also, the views are breathtaking. No matter what direction you face, you will see a NYC landmark. It's very hard to ask for much more from 19 Dutch, they pretty much have it all.

I have just moved in! I couldn't be happier with management, staff the building itself and the amenities! The neighborhood is incredible too

My boyfriend and I love everyone that works here - especially the wonderful gentlemen at the front desk, maintenance team, and elevator attendees. So friendly and helpful!

This place has a very odd way of conducting business, but I guess as the old saying goes. "to each their own".

Saw the signage on the outside of the building base for a leasing office, so I went into the lobby to see if they could take a walk-in (was totally prepared for a no, as it was a Saturday and was perfectly ok with that understanding it's a busy day).

Instead the concierge called up to the leasing office announcing my presence as a walk-in and then told me to have a seat and make yourself comfortable in the lobby, and when the associate is finished showing a client around, they will have you come upstairs.

After waiting 10 minutes in the lobby, I was told to go up to the leasing office in which I was greeted and sat down to be asked information regarding move-in date, price range, unit size, etc.

After 5 minutes of that, the agent tells me that unfortunately they are booked solid today and there is no availability to show me around. With that I made my departure from the property.

Maybe it's just me, call me crazy. But don't you think it would have just been easier to have the front desk staff tell me "hey, so unfortunately the leasing office is fully booked today as it is a Saturday. But here is a business card, so feel free to call or email them anytime to set up an appointment in advance and they can help you out. " Instead, I wasted about 15 minutes of my day.

I will not be back to this property. My interest has been lost after how this was handled.

My one star that I gave is simply for the chic design of the building. Props to the architects and designers, you did a nice job.

Management company was not flexible and downright mean when it came time to renew the lease.

It’s very hard for me to give a balanced review for 19 Dutch. As a broker myself, I had a horrible experience talking with the leasing staff. The officer judged about my client’s budget and did not want to make a showing for us only because the client’s budget is $3,300 for a studio. The leasing office also mentioned that it would waste her time to show an apartment for such budget and mentioned that they do not offer any studio under 4,000 for net price. Regardless my client’s budget, I have never seen any listing went over 4,000 for studios on their official website. Earlier this year, I have a client moved into 19 Dutch with net $3,280 for a studio. I would not recommend any more of my clients to this building to the community with such manner.

VERY DISRESPECTFUL

Horrible management service, the washer in my apartment has broken for one month. I called the office for like 5 times but nobody can fix it.

Be careful. Unprofessional and dishonest with tenants. Recommend people seriously consider other options, and really do your research.

Just an update after 4 months of living here:

1. Construction begins almost every morning sharply at 7: 20am, and it’s right, above, you. Ear plug and noise cancelling earphone won’t help.
2. Be prepared to wait for 5-7 mins for the elevator because there’s one elevator “temporarily” down for 3 weeks.
3. Staff are nice, helpful except for one or two people from leasing office. Someone from leasing office kept messing up my documents, sending harsh emails for “reminding” me of my deposit and first month rent when I’ve already brought the checks to them IN PERSON.
4. Very convenient neighborhood, great location if you work in downtown.
