21st Century Dermatology: Robin Borkowsky Rubell, MD, New York NY

Dr. Robin Rubell is a fantastic Dr. & person.
She is very smart, articulate…explains everything perfectly. I do not believe their is a better dermatologist in the city of New York. I have been using Dr. Rubell for many years and am
grateful for every procedure she has done for me. I highly recommend Dr. Robin Rubell

I am very familiar with MD visits and have never had to write a review like that.
She was nice during the visits.
However, the office consented me in English although I don’t speak/understand well.
The office said that my insurance is cleared, which wasn’t true and I got a bill 5 months later.
When trying to explain, she and her office just wanted to get the money and didn’t help.
Eventually, the insurance told me that there was a mistake in her office coding.
Also, since this - she became very aggressive and not nice.
She never sent me the pathology upon multiple requests.
And this ended up as a terrible experience.
To note, her nurse is amazing.

She combines a top-notch, first rate medical and cosmetic experience of a modern, New York City dermatologist with the time, care, humor, and attentiveness of a small town family internist. Accepting patients of ALL ages, this practice can handle any and every dermatological need. Whether I need some routine Botox, have a nasty persistent rash, want laser treatment for my sun damage spots, or want advice for my acne, Dr. Rubell is ready with the answers. She’s so incredibly reachable, unlike the other doctors I have who put armies of answer machine robots before themselves to limit patient interaction. The staff are attentive, compassionate, and always make me feel welcome. I know that when I visit Dr. Rubell, I’ll not only feel reassured about my skin, but I’ll have a smile on my face from chatting with her and catching her up on my life. She is one of those doctors who is interested and invested in me as a person, and not my wallet. I am so grateful to have found her!

Super long waiting time. Inpatient service, follow up scheduled without approval from my end, charging me 100 dollars because of the mistake on their side. Really sucks

After waiting 40 minutes, Dr.rushed me as if I was taking her precious time. Because she was taking other client in the other room simultaneously.
On top of that after 2 weeks still didn't get a phone call as I was promised!
I really don't understand where does 4.9 stars rewievs come from! If you go there based on the rewievs like I did, I can assure you that you will be disappointed!
Front desk ladies were helpful and kind.
