424 Hair Salon, Brockport NY

I love this place! First time and saw some good reviews thought I would try it. Called for a last minute appointment and got me in the next day. Charity gave me such a good face framing long layered cut! I also got my nails done from Linda. She squeezed me in right after my hair appointment. The price is not bad at all. $35 for the cut, $50 for dip nails with added fake nails for almond shape. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming I will 100% be back again!

I shared info on fb with honest review after a false advertisement (update the removed false ad using my hair but only the back and just had a sea of friends write reviews but gas lit me on everything even claiming they cant see the chemical burns on pics and telling me to come into a salon that i was uncomfortable with in the first place for evidence because video and pics were not enough on a post. " They are racist, they not only deleted pictures of my burned scalp but hair color was off in only three days, all over hands and cute nails I just got done and now have to fix. They started with asking me if I was Spanish by saying you Hispanic right? Because Spanish hair is difficult and we can’t bleach it it’s so stubborn to which I said I never heard of that & giving them the benefit of the doubt looked it up. Sure enough it was a just and ignorant racist comment charged me 215 then 250 then 350 for my “Hispanic hair” mind you I’m mixed French, Colombian, and cas but because around where they are from anyone that is tan in the summer must me Spanish. Which is crazy to ever say.never heard it before this place.also at their salon blonding was 110 to start and how i knew i was being ripped off after.
But happy Spanish heritage month-
They also burned my hair because they wanted to

So long with 20 (low and slow bleaching)
All they did was fry my hair and dilute color to be bright for one picture and it has faded without washing withing hrs and 3rd day it was gone.

(update went to dermatologist that helped with burns that are still not healed now 2 weeks after
my face and scalp still in pain and stained purple.owner said the 2 were bantering over the hair color no harm just fun.so unprofessional)
Also the girl Charity listened to Breann when she told
Her to Not Use a lot of her color because she needed it for Other people mind you I paid more

Have to Use more product… so beware if you tan walking into this salon they will charge you double for being so. Burn your scalp and make you spa day a nightmare oh and hair cut is uneven they curled and style and didn’t notice till I got home. The most uncomfortable experience I’ve ever had at a salon.

(reply is just gas lighting and my texture is soft if you mean hair coarseness that as nothing to do with my skin color especially. Backing up this mentality is called a micro aggression.my hair was supposed to be a nice tlc day that turned into a night mare and had to get someone to fix my hair cut also since she thinned it after i told her not too and the cut was all over the place.unfortunately had to buy more dye and cut hair super short and wear a wig for honeymoon trip i was trying to get dolled up for. Its so obvious when you see the comments after my very transparent post and blocking me on social media, after they denied me any compensation and denied the burns and awful job.that they prefer to treat only certain group with dignity and respect versus not.they would have had a great loyal customer.but since I was treated like a garbage ill put the warning out for any poc or anyone that isnt originally from the hills of Albion, holly or wny.also final thought on any poc that says their non poc workers arent racist holding onto blind loyalty versus seeing them as acting unprofessionally, correcting the issue leading to diversity inclusion and tolerance in an area there is a lot of with the college and etc.since Breann told charity that she better not use all her colors and kept referring to my hair as gross and she never would ever want thick hair.is another huge red flag to avoid this place if you are new. The Drama about everyone and their mother along with the staff is too much. Definity not a place you can relax in

This area due to their very racial stereotype comments and the way they treated her. Reading the reviews I can see other people also heard and saw how she was treated as well as a video she sent me of the conversation that made her uncomfortable. If she was petty she would post and cancel Breann and Charity for their comments about Spanish people and their hair. Apparently “Spanish hair is a reason to over charge, make it seem like it took longer than it needed by taking an hr just talking abt her hair, using low volume and over bleaching her hair till her skin burned to the point now she has hair missing and needs to heal
According to the dermatologist. We got her the medication for the burns and now she has to heal and wait. A professional salon helped her fix her hair cut and now it’s shorter than they cut it after she has been working all yr to let it grow out they took off two inch I’m front and about 4 I’m the back so the salon

I had an amazing experience at this salon, I come here often and every stylist is so polite, so nice. They’ve done an amazing job with my hair. I love everyone here and will always continue to come back!

My family and I have been coming to 424 for over 15 years now. My husband and son see Hai who always gives the best men's cut. Even when my son was 1 and HATED his hair cut, Hai was patient and kind and won him over.
Brenna is a true magician when it comes to my hair. The color.the attention to detail.the honesty about what would work well with my hair and what wouldn't.it is all top notch. I have been been coloring my hair for over 20 years now and Brenna is by far the best I have ever had.

I love 424 Hair Salon! Brenna is the absolute best! She is so talented and I am always 100% satisfied. I have experienced several of the other stylists and they were wonderful as well! I highly recommend!

I love this place, I came in with very brittle unhealthy hair and Brenna completely fixed my hair and made me feel so confident, she extended my appointment just to help me feel good and look good and save my hair AND SHE DID AMAZING. On top of that the entire salon made me feel welcomed and safe. This salon is my favorite and I highly recommend it.

They only blocked after I gave an honest review- no resolution- they will only distort your hair take your money without ever caring how you feel unless they are local friends. Apparently smart styles is wayyy better but I just got back from Buffalo for better service and they fixed my hair cut. The color is still faded and waiting

I have always enjoyed coming to the salon with my family to get our hair cuts done and my wife gets her hair colored by one of the girls. We love the owner hai been going to his shop for years.

I love Brenna! She did such a wonderful job on my hair, exactly what I asked for. She explains the process and prices well and the whole salon is a relaxing, comfortable environment.

I drive an hour and a half just to get Hai to cut my hair at 424 Hair Salon. This is the best place, friendly staff and great pricing. Been a regular customer for over 20 years, well worth the drive.

Hi used to cut my hair as a kid I'll never forget him and how kind he always was to me and my family I genuinely miss him and his salon I live in Florida now I heard through a grapevine he was thinking about closing shop glad he's still open and serving the community with excellent service keep doing your thing Hi much love hope all is well with you and your family these days! I know when he sees this he will recognize the name immediately Hi never forgets his customers even from 20 years ago when he was in the old game players unlimited plaza or when he was over by the old friendlys excellent business excellent staff and owner go to Hi don't go anywhere else especially don't go to cuts unlimited!

I've been getting my haircut here for years. The owner, Hi, is great and the place is really top notch. Also, one of the most affordable places to get a men's haircut in the Brockport area.

My daughter who just went through chemo had her lashes done today for the first time ever - her lashes are very sparse and course: Nemo spent a long time with her and is SO nice; my daughter looks great! Natural and pretty. I’m now jealous! Natural and long and pretty. WOW! TY!

Locally owned and operated! The salon is exceptionally clean, and all staff is knowledgeable, professional, friendly, and accommodating! So happywith the experience and results every time I go!
