Requirements discussion over the phone with leasing person makes it difficult for unmarried partners to qualify, dispite NY law about occupants.

Is this to hard to ask for so we as paying tenants can still go to work, instead in 30 mins late and your sidewalk is all cleaned because at 8: 00 you shouldn't have to be stumbling over snow to get to your car. This is just laziness, get up like every other pay worker and clean up our neighborhood it's your job isn't it, it's in my lease.

I had a terrible experience renting with this agency. I signed a lease for 1 year at Endicott W Main St and had to cut it short due to worst maintenance with zero knowledge, rude office staffs and unpleasant living experience at the unit. Everything was broken but made to look good at surface level. Lease contract is set in a way to loot as much money as possible. Would not recommend anyone to choose this agent, no matter how urgent your apartment need is.

Kat returned call about looking at an apartment.she offered a few different places. As soon as I told her I did NOT want a hard inquiry on my credit report she straight up hung up on me without saying a word. I would steer clear from dealing with that woman.

Doesn't return calls in a timely manner.
Management wants maintenance to enter unit without prior coordination between tenant and landlord. Answering service answers calls during the business day instead of being able to directly speak with management. Management discourages tenant from having ability to speak directly with maintenance.

They are very unorganized, the lady was rude and had nothing but attitude and I’ve heard from tenants there as well how she is very unpleasant to deal with. Will never consider this place for a place to live rather live out of a cardboard box then deal with that lady again.

If anyone has to deal with the manager 'Kat', she is extremely rude and nasty. She called me back because I had questions about applications. I had a very unpleasant conversation with her shes very insulting then when I told her shes being rude she went crazy and started yelling then she hung up on me.very strange. I will be avoiding this buisness.terrible and uncalled for.

I've been living here at Pennsylvania Ave apartment since 2015, and I have to agree with some of these comments. The maintenance manager here is terrible and racist (White guy). The new maintenance guy (Black guy was cool and very helpful), and not to mention staff at the office were rude and helpless. I left a message regarding the kitchen floor, and still, nobody has responded. I'm so glad I'm moving out in April, but I do feel bad for my siblings who still live there.

602 Partners provides a receipt after requiring a security deposit, which is paid at time of lease signing, which states the "security deposits are non-refundable" for apartments that require renovation/repairs prior to move in/lease signing without any guarantee the security deposit can be returned if 602 breaches the agreement. A security deposit can be used to hold in anticipation of a lease signing but if sufficient notice is provided for the owner to rent or owner breaches the move in agreement the "security depostit" can be returned, 602 doesn't differentiate between a "hold deposit" and "security deposit" which a "security deposit" under NY law is refundable upon termination of lease or in this situation when no lease is enforced. Placing "non-refundable security deposit" could be argued by owners to justify refusing to refund the deposit whereas a "hold deposit" can be non-refundable. A "non-refundable security deposit" jeopardizes the tenants right to recover the "security deposit" required by 602 if as noted in reviews the property and lease is breached preventing the tenant from accessing the home/apartment upon agreed upon move in date or if the apartment isn't habitable or standards agreed up, ie toilets are placed in tubs, carpeting/flooring not completed, appliances not connected etc prior to agreed move in date 602 would then have breached the agreement.
