One of the best Indian foods in the US. Great ambience, super friendly reception there. Food was perfectly cooked. I've never eaten such rightly cooked Paneer Tikka before. Definitely recommend

We are locals and love this place. The food is always delicious, and the staff are particularly helpful and lovely. A real neighborhood gem.

Wide menu that can accommodate a variety of preferences- we never have any issues bringing friends. The Indian beer is also a plus. We love how there is also a wide variety within sizes of dishes- the appetizers are perfect to share and the right size to share among a few people, right to the desserts.

We also came here one time when an Indian tour group was coming- it didn’t bother us at all- the staff were really professional in managing everything and it was cool to see how the restaurant serves authentic fare.

We cannot express how great of an experience our family had at Aahar. They helped us order gluten free foods and a fun mango drink for our 7 and 9 year old children. The food was amazing and the service was wonderful! They were very attentive and the food arrived rather quickly. They also gave us a complementary dessert. We all left full and spent about $15-20 per person.

My rating is purely based on the food. We had ordered 3 things:

Samosa Chaat: The chaat was delicious, it had sweet and green chutney with Chick peas and samosa. It looked yummy and was mouth watering too.

Garlic Naan and Plain Naan: Garlic naan was okay, the small peices of garlic seemed to put over the plain naan rather than engraving in the naan. Plain naan was as you would get at any other place.

Veg Pista Korma: I have never had this dish before, this dish was tasteless for me. No salt/spicy/sweet ingredients included broccoli, Cauliflower, potato, carrot. Just to let everyone know you wont get complimentary rice with the curry. This is an FYI note, I have been to 4-5 different restaurants at NYC and all of them had Rice as complimentary for lunch with the curry.

Amazing experience, very welcoming owner. We ordered papdi chaat, malai kofta, chicken biryani. The highlight was rasmalai and gulab jamun. Overall a must-try experience for that home-like feeling.

Pannacota and Chicken Caldin were 5/5 stars; we’ll definitely be back!

Food was good, but their service definitely needs some work. Needed to repeatedly ask for things despite it being a slow time.

Shout out to Shelly and Avi! This is the best Indian restaurant anyone could ever ask for. The food is tasty, warm services and fantastic customer service. If you are in New York or visiting New York, it will be a waste without visiting Aahar Indian Cuisine! Try it and thank me later!

Foods price costs little expensive then queens but it’s okay because it’s in Manhattan.

A cute and modern style restaurant. Perfect for families and couples! Definitely try the rosemary kebab and coconut rice! The paneer masala and tandoori chicken was great! Manager was super warm and welcoming.
