I had a great experience at Aate! I came to get my hair permed because I wanted loose, natural looking curls. Jason talked through all my options with me and ended up giving me a digital perm- he took the time to really understand what I wanted, and it turned out perfectly! Will definitely come again and would highly recommend.

Masters of their craft. Jason paid such attention to the structure and issues with my hair. And gave me my bangs back, some hairdressers get thrown off by them or make them to wide. And while I realize this doesn’t totally effect a good cut - an A+ hair wash. Felt like a queen after I left.

I am visiting from Melbourne, Australia and I popped into AateBeauty for a haircut and I was so fortunate that Soomi styled my short hair. Soomi was wonderful, she understood my hair perfectly and I am absolutely delighted with the result! I’m sorry I didn’t catch the lovely lady’s name who washed my hair but thankyou too. This place is amazing. Lovely staff, great blow outs, specialists in all extensions and hair types.

I am very very very very like seriously very picky with my hair style. I never found a single hair stylist who can cut my hair the way I wanted in my entire life. Either they do not understand the style or my hair I want or maybe I am bad at explaining. Anyway, Tiffany is the first one who gave the exact cut that I wanted! I usually do not check my hair at the shop and always check after shower at home. It's pointless to check at the shop because the stylist will always try to make the hair look good with dryer or hair product. Then when you get home and after shower, you see your hair isn't the style that you saw at the shop.

BUT! Tiffany gave the perfect hair cut for me. She understood my weirdly curved hair and made it easy for me to style correctly by myself. Exact the length, exact volume. (You know they always cut hair shorter than you wanted!? !? !) I've never been so excited about my hair cut! I never got so hyped about my hair! She is the best seriously!

I am always happy when I get a haircut with Tiffany here. Usually I don’t know what I want before I go, so I just leave it to Tiffany and I am never disappointed.

Had to take a long hiatus due to COVID-19 but got a perm coming back and was amazed.

Not only is she good at hairstyling but Tiffany is also just really nice, professional, and pleasant to talk to. Make an appointment with her and you won’t be disappointed.

Haircut came out nicely but staff could be better. Korean hair salons I have gone to in the past have actually given me a decent wash with a notoriously good head massage you only get for a Korean hair salon. This was minimal effort and to be honest I could have done it better. Then they cut my hair and blow dried it while they were cutting it. The stylist finished and without styling my hair said ok good. And I was sitting there with frizzy hair that was messy and unstyled. If you are going to blow dry my hair why on earth would you even think that’s ok? I had to tell him to properly blow dry my hair. At the end they told me it was 74 dollars when on the phone I specifically asked how much it was for a wash cut and blow dry and she said 45 dollars. I paid and tipped but honestly not coming back because I don’t like people who lie. As far as Korean hair salons go, this isn’t that great so if you want the authentic experience go elsewhere.

I work in the area and this is definitely the best hair cut in the city. Lucy is by far the best hairdhairdresser I've had.she's very talented, friendly and kind.the quality of her cuts cannot be beat.she takes her time and you come away feeling and looking great!

The wait was a bit long but the hair cut and perm were really nice. Would still recommend the place. A bit pricy though.

Michelle took the time to cut my hair with care. She was able to fix a botched haircut from another salon, and she styled my hair in modern style. The price was reasonable at $30 for cut only.

My new go to spot for hair cuts. Sumi put in so much effort into making sure my hair turned out just right. Very detail oriented and attentive. All of their staff worked with a smile which says a lot about this place. I am extremely satisfied, and she is honestly the best hair stylist I have ever worked with. Will most def be back!

Don't do curl in this place. The elder lady stylist is careless and bad at doing curl. My hair is totally a mess now and after two weeks I am still very angry with the result! Not gonna to come in the future!

Excellent! They had availability to schedule me last minute, the staff was friendly, good products, the fastest blow-dry I have EVER gotten, and my hair came out shiny, silky, and beautiful. Also the prices are very very good for Manhattan - everything I would want in a hair salon.:)

It's my first visit to the salon this morning. The cashier greeted me with a big smile. Tim did a good job cutting my hair. I'm really happy with the result. I will definitely go back again.
