Aba's Falafel reviews
19If you enjoy Middle Eastern cuisine, this place makes art with their food. Absolutely delectable
Ordered the falafel platter with hummus and salad. The falafel was delicious and well made close to how they make it in Israel. The hummus was a let down. It was watery and lacked flavor, seasoning and proper thickness you get from a good homemade hummus. Their pita bread is amazing and comes from a bakery down in NYC. The plate portion given the high price, is underwhelming and leaves you wanting more, especially if you are hungry. Otherwise this is a great place for a quick bite to hold you over in-between meals.
While living in the Rhinebeck area for several years, I’ve had Aba’s falafel at least a dozen times. I moved into NYC but recently went upstate and took a small detour for lunch at Aba’s. It didn’t disappoint. Always consistent quality and freshness. The falafel is crispy and moist. The pita is the best I’ve had- fluffy and slightly sweet while holding the sandwich perfectly. I’ve only had the falafel and the sabich sandwich- never ventured to try other options because these are just too good! The service is fast. The restaurant itself is quite small so it is not always practical to eat inside. Highly recommended for falafel fans!
Love this place. Everything they make is fantastic. Wonderful people, great atmosphere. I hope they are here forever. 100% vegan too, a dining sanctuary for those of us who look for plant based animal free options. Healthy, delicious, clear conscience.
Oh man is this place is so good. I always get the gluten-free plater. They understand the great and simple business model of basically doing one thing, and doing it SO well. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE tell the owner to open an Aba's in Beacon. Beacon gets so crowded (esp on weekends) and is a complete desert of good food - you'd probably have a line out the door. If we had an Aba's here, I would be likely be there every other day. The last time I was in Rhinebeck I went back to Aba's for another lunch later in the afternoon and had to restrain myself from taking one for the road.
These are the best falafels you may find in a lifetime. Friendly, helpful staff and quick-to-serve, take a moment to pour some condiments for your meal. One or two of these will elevate your satisfaction to another level. I've been there a few dozen times, and every meal has tasted delicious. The pitas are baked fresh daily, the falafels vre straight from the fryer, and all the dressings are prepared fresh each day. Eat-in (cute shop!) or take-out, you'll find yourself going out of your way to get to Aba's. Highest recommendation.
Loved this place. Have lunch falafel and lentil soup. Delicious. Great atmosphere, ate outside.
Maybe I don’t get out much but Aba’s has the most authentic and delicious falafel I have ever had in this country. I always like to try it and I’m usually disappointed but not here! Aba’s is a busy little shop, you can eat in or takeout, there is indoor and outdoor seating available. It’s very clean and the employees are working hard to make your fresh food fast and provide friendly service. I’ll be back!
Had an amazing falafel wrap which was full of flavor by itself. To add to that they have a self-serve section of sauces which takes it to another level. Don't forget to order a lemonade to pair it with the food.
There are many falafel joints all over and with many flavor profiles and mostly they are delicious.
But Aba's reminds me how old school receipe made with simple fresh ingredients can raise this sandwich to another level.
Truly a taste of Israel
Wow we stopped by town and did not expect so much. But it was absolutely amazing and so fresh! The falafel is one of the best I’ve had and not dense and dry.
Clean, simple, fresh, superb crispy felafel containing a warm lavaesq concoction of chickpea goodness all wrapped up in a fresh pita.
Lovely staff and very clean space. Some indoor and outdoor tables. In the heart of Rhinebeck! The falafel was amazing- super crisp and flavorful. I just wish they were bigger! Lol. The salads that come with combination plate were refreshing and delish. Hummus was out of this world! Pita super fluffy and filling. I also loved the self serve pickle station and the cilantro hot sauce. Anything served in a pita proved pretty messy but well worth it. Excellent stop for lunch!
I can't was enough good things about this place. The food is absolutely fantastic, no matter what you order. Everything is 100% vegan so you don't have to worry about that. I've been getting falafel here since they started at the local farmers market years ago, so their longevity is proof that that you can't got wrong getting lunch here! They do only serve lunch hours, so keep that in mind when looking to go. If you're in Rhinebeck, stop in and get a great lunch!
Happened to stop in right before closing and ordered the Sabeeh platter to-go thinking I would snack on some of it there and take the rest of it home for dinner but everything was sooo good I couldn't stop eating! I would happily make the 1 hour drive for this food, the falafel, eggplant, potatoes, pita, sauces, everything is perfection!
I've been going here for a few years but never reviewed it. The food is delicious and very consistent. The falafel are the best I've ever had. The side salads are refreshing and the hummus is rich. Yummy condiments too. Everyone here is always friendly and efficient.
Hands down the best falafel I have ever had! They are so busy every item is fresh made. The sauces and salads make the difference.
Delicious! One of my top places to get falafel now for both my fiancé and i. Can't wait to go back when in Rhinebeck again.
This place is great. What more to say. When in Rhinebeck go here first then Bread Alone for cardamom or lemon poundcake.
