I was moving from the Finger Lakes region to the Southern Tier in the summer of '23 and needed a space to store my stuff until I secured housing. I searched the storage units between here and there and found places that were either too far, two expensive, or too small. Imagine my surprise to find ABC storage just outside of Owego, N. Y. It was a good location with great, great prices, and space that fit what I needed. They have a variety of sizes that will fit either a small studio or even a large apartment. This was my first time moving into a storage unit, so their advice on the website really helped me to choose the right size and prepare for both moving in, storage and moving out.

The price was just incredible compared to U-Haul and other storage places. Because I didn't move in on the first of the month, they prorated my first month's rent. The monthly rates are extremely reasonable. When I moved in, I found that the storage space was very clean. The floor is just concrete, so it's comparable to a garage. The units are not climate controlled and are in a field, so they advise you on how to protect your items. It's a good call as occasionally little bugs creep in from just outside, like any garage.

The response to clients is pretty good. They have a phone line as well as a text messaging system that I was able to use to get in touch with Steve and his wife, who run the property and business from afar with the security camera system. This came in handy when I had a friend who was moving out of her apartment very urgently. She had not found last minute storage space nearby and the storage she had already procured was woefully inadequate. I called Steve and he was able to get in touch that same day and get her a large storage unit for her things. They were able to work out an agreement despite the late hour. ABC Storage really came in clutch and I won't forget that.

All in all, I had a highly favorable experience with ABC storage in Owego, NY. I recommend them to anyone in the area who needs good rates, good sizes, and good people to help them out during the stressful and uncertain time of moving. Be sure to call ahead as they may not get back to you right away, and they may not have a space available right away. I've had a great time and the only thing I can say is thank you so much! 5 / 5 stars!

Totally positive experience from start to finish. Clean secure storage with friendly available helpful managers who are real humans — unlike some places. The best of many storage unit experiences over 20 years in 3 countries!
