While still incredibly low offer compared to what I paid for the diamond ring, Abe Mor was the highest quote I received from 3 different dealers to purchase. Process was incredibly easy. Lesson learned to never buy a ring from brick and mortar store!

By far the best service, correspondence and price of any of the NYC diamond buyers. I dealt with Eric Mor. I already had an appraisal from a gemologist. Eric thought that it overstated the quality of the diamond and suggested that to be fair to me we get a GIA evaluation. Eric was right on. The diamond was exactly as he predicted. Yes, I wish that it had graded better, but it is what it is. Eric gave me a price that was way above any other offer. Abe Mor was honest to a fault. Amazing good at explaining the diamond market. I felt that I was treated fairly. I had heard many good things about Abe Mor online. They were all deserved. You can't go wrong.

I recently had the unfortunate experience of learning all about how seemingly arbitrary the grading and valuation of diamonds is within the diamond industry. I had a decent sized diamond ring I was looking to sell to fund an overseas trip, and I actually sent my ring to SIX different diamond buyers. My experience with five of the six buyers I dealt with was essentially the same…The initial offer sounded good, but after sending in the ring for evaluation, the offers dropped significantly. I did give Abe Mor three stars, because they were communicative about their findings and they were honest in their explanation regarding the big discrepancy between their initial and final offer (which was accurate, the ring was not graded correctly initially by GSI), shipping was easy (it was nice to have them send ME the shipping supplies, as opposed to having to go obtain boxes myself, as some other buyers will have you do), and their final offer was the best offer that I received sending the ring to New York (although it was still $2000 less than what I ultimately received for the ring from another buyer). All in all, working with Abe Mor was a neutral experience. If you’re in a hurry and need an acceptable offer, they will provide the best offer in New York…but it’s not the best offer you could get from a diamond buyer (see my other reviews for my recommendation on who to use).

Went to sell a ton of jewelry I had to them. Before even sending pictures, I IMMEDIATELY got a “we don’t want your jewelry” email. Told them in the description I’d send pics when I got an email. Apparently you need like a 2 carat diamond for them to even look at it and didn’t care that I’m sure I had enough gold to sell them. They didn’t care. So yeah I don’t recommend trying to sell jewelry to them unless you have a seriously nice ring. And then, you’d prob get more money on the private market.

Where do I begin? What wonderful personalized and compassionate service I received from this company. In sure they do many many this in a day yet Jan took the time to see me as a person and empathize with what I am going through. Selling your wedding ring typically doesn't indicate happy times. My fiancé and I had an exceptional experience with Jan at Abe Mor Diamonds. We knew we wanted a vintage Old European cut diamond (a round diamond primarily cut between 1890-1930) and before meeting Jan we were starting to get frustrated in what we were finding. Other jewelers told us what we were looking for didn’t exist because they wanted to sell their existing inventory. Jan was very quick to return my initial inquiry and spoke with me on the phone at length about how our vintage diamond search was going. Jan then took the time to search and compile details of all diamonds in the entire country that fit our criteria. From there, we narrowed the search down to our top 3 diamonds. She sourced these diamonds and even met us while we were on a trip to San Francisco to present them to us. She was patient with us while we took the time deciding and we eventually chose a stunning Old European Brilliant diamond. She then took the time to help us design the perfect setting and sent us several sketches before deciding. We are beyond ecstatic with the finished product and with Jan’s service level throughout the whole process. I would recommend Jan and Abe Mor Diamonds to anyone looking for a vintage diamond!

I had researched ahead of time the best places to sell my old engagement ring and Abe Mor was mentioned quite frequently. It was easy to submit my request for quote online with all the information and include pictures. They responded by email within 24 hours with an estimated range. Then they sent me a shipping label with all the packing materials so I could place the ring in, turn around and drop it back off at FedEx. Once they physically inspected my ring they sent me an email with the final quote, which was just a bit lower than one I had from another place. They were able to match the quote to make it easier for me and get the most for my ring. I just accepted the offer and already have the tracking number for my check!

I had a positive experience selling my diamond ring to Abe Mor. I sent in a photo and received a phone call back the same day. I didn't have any papers, but they still sent an envelope with an insurance letter. I sent it in and they offered me double what my local jeweler offered. I accepted and had the check within a couple days. I highly recommend!

I had the weight of my gold calculated by more than one site claiming to have the highest estimates on buying your gold, and Abe Mor Diamonds has the HIGHEST offers on your valuables by $100 or more (for me at least)! I would definitely consider selling and buying from them again!
