ACME Markets reviews
19I like shopping here with my toddler son. He enjoyed the shopping cart that looked like a car. But they don't have it anymore: (
I bought two rosette pink cakes. A round one and a sheet cake also with pineapple and strawberry filling. I Loved both cakes. Fillings were nice and fresh.very tasty. Lots of frosting but understandable because of rosette design. KUDOS to Baker! And the prices were great!
!
Right off the highway. Big parking lot. Prices are higher than neighborhooding supermarkets. People were not practicing social distancing or wearing masks. Did not see staff enforcing or cleaning. Decent selection of foods and dry goods. Produce and meats could be fresher.
Lots of fresh and healthy options for any occasion. This store has what you’re looking for no matter what style of food you eat.
I love this supermarket, I come here once a month with my cousin who loves a deal, they have a large variety and I'm sure you can find pretty much anything! The staff are helpful and nice.
The cashier pack meats and can good together. One time they placed ice cream in the same bag. The grapes, like the sliced watermelon should be kept in a cool area.
Overpriced on meats! Seafood sometimes have deals (crab legs) but that's all. Ill come here if its last min but at times I feel like the employees watch shoppers like a hawk. Get loss prevention personnel but to have an employee watch you like your a potential thief is very uncomfortable.
The female cashiers are wonderful the prices are okay but whoever is hiring oh they're doing an excellent job the sales are starting to get a little better but I just really enjoyed a customer service and a friendly staff 10 stars for the friendly staff for stars for the sales that are starting to get better
A lot of options but prices are high and you have to find customer service because it is not within all their associates
Oh it was so much fun I love you so much I'm coming back with my sister it was the greatest I had the greatest time I just want to thank those guys for that beautiful place
Overpriced supermarket you have to have app to clip coupons and watch what they call sales just to get anything at fair market value
Neighborhood store. Since pandemic supplies & prices have changed.
Rarely now do u shop and find shelves stocked. And you can go in 3wks later and the items still arent in. Very Frustrating
I love love love this supermarket.the selections are great.the produce are always fresh.great savings.great meat selections. ACME is a winner! Ohhhh and bring your own bags.
Straight up scam. I made an online order directly with them as they aren't using other platforms anymore and they canceled part of it because it was too big without telling me (after calling a bunch of times about other stuff). Do they do this with big families? It happened to be why I made the order and I put a note to contact me if there's an issue with that item as I would've been fine with splitting it between other options (though 10 lbs of meat is not a lot for a big family). Then they wanted me to reorder, so I had to negotiate not having a delivery fee again.
Then when I finally got the item, I was charged a higher price for it ($42 more). I called ACME central for it, and they are claiming that it's a different item because the system says so, even though it's the same exact time, and I was never told that I would be charged more for it even with all the calls and confirmations involved. What really happened is that they didn't put the weight in for the item and instead "exchanged" it to use the in person price. The online price is probably incorrect anyway considering that it's lower then items that it should be more than. This means that I can order a candy bar for a dollar online and they can "exchange" it for the same item then double the price if they feel like it. That's a scam and illegal.
I am perplexed about why they wouldn't use this experience to fix obvious major issues. Instead, they are doubling down on a fiction. I am not even mentioning other issues with their system and the order. I have spent many thousands at this store over the years and I'm done. Esp.since there have been issues with in store prices and discounts a multitude of times. The main positive I would say is that the staff was very nice. But there are fundamental issues that need to be addressed on the corporate level. Esp.with the online system.
Review update: I got the partial refund after being told the decision to not give was wasn't going to change by Acme corporate. I got a message by the online store manager asking about the experience and wanting to learn from it. To be clear and I know I only mentioned this briefly in the initial review, the staff was extremely nice/helpful, but there are fundamental issues that I explained to Acme corporate (that's where I was directed to when I called about this - and not even what I wanted to call) and they decided to gaslight me instead of to learn from this. It was literally the only time I've gotten mad on a call. They said something about how because it shows up differently in the system that's all that matters even if the item is the same and they can't take my word for it without evidence even though I had a screenshot and photos that they didn't want to look at. They also said that I couldn't get an in store price even though they were clearly the I'm store prices down to the cent on each item.
They double downed on being wrong and did not want my advice though I've already shared a decent amount in detail. Acme corporate needs to get it together to help support hardworking people in the stores and in their call centers who likely deal with the brunt of the fallout. I offered to share advice for free and they didn't want to hear it and did even worse than that. Hire someone to improve your online system or you will needlessly lose business and/or not keep up with competition since online ordering is only going to grow over time. Actually support your staff that are keeping your business alive.
Also try listening to your staff and customers. It's whole lot cheaper than a consultant.
Not a 5 star because 1 pound of ground beef shouldn't be $21.75 with a supposed $15 saving and 2 pounds shouldn't be $31.22 with a suppose saving of $20
I liked how the place looked inside a year ago. Now the aisles are packed with too much stuff and its hard to walk around. There used to be space for people to stand apart in this store now everyone is on top of each other. Please remove all the items from the main walkways and common areas, it’s just way to crowded, it’s too much.
Nice store. Lots of choices for cheeses, olives etc. Fresh seafood counter has alot of choices. Only thing i can say negative about store is their grocery prices are a bit higher than the competitive chain supermarkets however i dont mind paying a lil more because Acme checkouts are way faster than the others and to me thats a huge plus
Loved ACME Markets, it was my first time there and definitely I will be coming back for sure. The have everything you are looking for.
Empty shelves often on club soda, pasta sauces, and else.
Also on rice cakes (they NEVER have chocolate rice cakes). I guess it needs better management.
