Found this provider on the list of in network doctors. After researching I called the office this morning to make an appointment for my husband. The lady who picked up, said nothing, just placed me on hold. Ok, fine it may be a busy morning. She came back, I said good morning, that I would like to schedule an appointment for my husband. I gave the required information and said yes it would be his first time there.
She responded with "State ID, insurance and social security is required. " I asked do you mean bring his social or he needs to know it?
She said it's policy, it's policy. I tried to let her know I've never had an office asked me to "bring" my ss, so I was just asking. And yes he knows his social. She was already cutting me off, saying it's just a policy and it's her job to let everyone know because copious amounts of folks comes in and don't have it.
She hung up, without taking the insurance information or providing an address.
I called back and canceled.
With that attitude, I definitely do not want to come to the office and spend my money or waste my time. Ma'am, respectfully it is not even noon. You do not belong at the front desk. Maybe you had an awful week, but take the day off. You were unprofessional, short, and rude.

Update to the response below: Please note the issue was and is not that ID, insurance is required. But asking for clarity on bringing the actual social security card or knowing the number. We all know it is required on the initial paperwork visit. It was her delivery, and the fact that she hung up without finishing her job. I had to look at the phone. But very well.
Happy New year you as well!

Keep up the good work Dr. Laroche. The staff at the front desk needs a little attitude adjustment when dealing with patients.

At this clinic in Queen Village I went to make an appointment and just because I don't speak English the way the staff that treats them is designed for me tends to be terrible.

This is Golam Sikder. Where does rece came on my rating? You guys sent me a $50 for missing an appointment, that is racism. Can you send a bill like this to any white or black people? No, you sent it to me as because I am brown. Shame on you. I am not going to give you a single penny. I am going to sue you in the court of law for this bill.

We waited two weeks for the appointment. We then waited THREE HOURS to see Dr. Laroche and he didn't bother showing up. There was no explanation given. We were seen by an optometrist while we were expecting to see a glaucoma specialist. They did not return our $30 copay even though we were not seen by the specialist we needed. Our worst doctor experience ever!

You replied in the review that you are off on Saturday. We received multiple voice message and emails confirming the appointment with you on Saturday. Sounds like you are the only one who knows you're off on Saturday. Your practice is a Circus!
