Aerie Store, Yonkers NY

The associates that work here are on FaceTime with their friends while working in the front of the store, pausing to say “welcome in”. Train your team!

Usually like this store but I ordered a few items for pick up before a big trip. The website said they had it in stock and would be ready within 2 hours. 3 hours later, they cancelled the order. When I asked why, they said they had the items but they were still unpacked in boxes in the back and they didn’t want to get them out. They told me I should just order it for shipping so they don’t have to unpack the boxes within the pick up time. Normally I would but I wanted these within a certain time frame. Pretty ridiculous that I can’t get my items in time because they don’t want to/are too lazy to get them from inventory…

I checked the website and it said the store closes at 10pm but when I came up to the store and pulled the door it was locked, when I saw the store hours sign on the door it said the store closes at 9pm. That’s Fine, but the issue is that it wasn’t 9pm either, it was 8: 40pm. I then called the store and explained that I was outside and all I wanted to do was a return and that’s it but she proceeded to tell me (nicely) that the store was closed (before 9pm). I travelled all the way to Yonkers to do this return and she still ignored my request and I only wanted to return 2 items and do an exchange with another because this is the only store that has the item in stock. The girl on the phone was not rude at all however I just think it’s not right to lock the doors before closing time, I work in retail as well and the company says that’s a big no.
