I met Dr Ahmad in Vassar who manage my diabetes while I was there for RSV. He balanced my medication wonderfully due to steroids I was req.to take. Hes my guy now.

Dr. Ahmad could care less if you are elderly. My Mom's health was completely ignored by this so called endocrinologist so much so that tumors spread throughout her entire body making it too late for her to seek out any treatment to help save her. If your elderly seek a professional endocrinologist with professional staff for help. Don't go here unless you want to die.

I am his patient and I can say first hand he deeply cares for his patients. He treats you with respect and always has a welcoming smile. Dr. Ahmad really listens to me and I always feel comfortable to express any concerns that i have. He doesn't brush you off and that is priceless.

Dr Ahmad is a fantastic endocrinologist. He takes time to explain things in a way that you can understand.
He takes time to assure that you are taking care of your conditions in the best manner possible.

His staff nurse Marion is always helpful and attentive to the patients.
Doctor Ahmad is extremely nice yet firm when it is needed. He helped me get my diabetes under control when others could not figure out what to do to assist.

I presume his office habitually overbooks because everytime I go there I'm endlessly waiting to see him. Be prepared to be waiting an hour of more, with no one giving you any indication of how long it will be before you finally are granted an audience. I can see a wait of 15-20 minutes, but not constantly an hour or more! Unless you like long waits go somewhere else!

Dr. Ahmad when you do finally see him, he patiently listened to my issues and answers questions but the difficulty occurs with the staff. The phone is never answered by them and appointments are usually not scheduled within a timely manner. The wait time to see the doctor could be as much as 45 minutes. Recently the office was to fax a script for a very important test and they never did. I called numerous times and the imaging office also called we have yet to receive the script. They never informed me that the “fax didn’t go through”. Even after 2 tries today the imaging office still have not received the script. This is almost 2 weeks This was thoughtless disrespectful of my time and unprofessional.

I really liked Dr. Ahmad when I met him in Vassar hospital for a consultation. I live in Poughkeepsie but was willing to travel across the river for his services. Everything was great in the beginning but since Covid came everything has hit rock bottom. It's a constant battle to get my prescriptions for my insulin pump. I was on the phone with my insurance company and my online pharmacy in a conference call and I learned that the online company where I get my supplies has been calling and leaving messages for prescriptions and they have been ignored. Since JANUARY! I've called all day, during business hours. The phone line keeps looping and I've not gotten a hold of anyone. I've run out of infusion sets due to no fault of mine. Now I'm in extreme danger until I see my new Dr.

Dr. Ahmad has been a fantastic savvy Endo in helping me with my diabetes. His innovative modern approach to this disease has turned my health around in a very short span of time! I highly recommend him to family and friends as he was recommended to me.

I am a Type I insulin dependent diabetic with a 670G pump, I’ve been a Type I for some time now. I have had issues with BG control in the past. I’m quite please with having DO Ahmad as my endocrinologist. I had some issues finding a new endo when my prior one retired.
