Airtek Environmental Corp. reviews
4Overall great instructor who gave clear and informative presentations. They covered all the materials needed for the course and exam. Very interactive with the students and gave helpful information for future field experiences.
Great instructors, covered all materials needed for exam, gave wonderful presentation. The owner and CEO is great added additional service to training and interacted with students as well as gave useful, helpful information for entering the field. Overall the service provider was wonderful and I highly recommend training here as well as future employment.
I had a highly disappointing experience with Air Tek, and I feel compelled to share my thoughts to help others avoid a similar ordeal. To put it bluntly, this is a business I would strongly advise people to stay away from.
First and foremost, the owner's attitude left much to be desired. It was apparent that he considered himself above others, likely because of his connections within the city. His demeanor was arrogant and condescending. During my time at Air Tek, he wrongly accused me of using his address to apply for my mold remediation license, only to later discover that the Department of Labor had made the mistake. Rather than offering an apology, he chose to remain silent. This incident alone showcases his lack of professionalism and accountability.
Furthermore, the company's lack of diligence in keeping their information up to date is concerning. They provided me with incorrect application materials, clearly demonstrating a lack of thorough research into the latest updates from the Department of Health. It was evident that their primary focus was on making money, rather than providing accurate and helpful information to their clients.
My second major grievance was the abysmal conditions of the classroom. They crammed around 20 students into a poorly ventilated room without air conditioning. The air quality was dismal, and the entire class felt disorganized during the initial days. When I brought these issues to their attention and requested a discount for the subpar conditions, they callously brushed aside my concerns. It wasn't until the third and fourth days when they finally split the classes that I began to gain some semblance of value from the course.
To top it all off, the owner's handling of payments and exams was nothing short of disgraceful. He forcibly took my test paper from my desk and insisted that I couldn't take the test without immediate payment. His approach was rude and unprofessional, making me feel like a criminal. Even when I offered to pay with my credit card, they withheld my test until they could verify the payment. This treatment was utterly unacceptable.
In summary, if you're seeking a conducive learning environment with professional instructors and up-to-date materials, I implore you to steer clear of Air Tek. The facility is subpar, with a lack of proper ventilation and air conditioning, the owner's behavior is far from helpful, and their teaching materials are outdated and inadequate. The overall experience left much to be desired, and I wouldn't wish it upon anyone.
