A & J Paving recently did a full excavation and replacement of our shared neighbor double driveway. I would like to say they went over and above our expectations and created a new level properly graded solid driveway. They took a lot of time and never did we feel that we weren’t getting the full service we expected. Because we have beautiful gardens abutting the driveway they went out of their way to make sure nothing was disturbed. We would highly recommend this company to anyone who wants accomplished high quality professional contractors working on their project.

We chose A&J based on reviews so it seems fair to write one! Our driveway was old and we knew we needed a full excavation. Our new driveway looks great!

A&J provided an accurate estimate of their charges and timeframe-no paving company we talked to could commit to specific days because excavating and paving are weather-dependent! They try to excavate on rainy days but they can't pave on rainy days. But they gave us a spot-on estimate and kept us updated. For reference: we got our estimate in late April and decided to commit to A&J. No deposit was required for the commitment. At that time they told us our excavation would probably be in June-we got excavated/new base layer in mid-June. They said it needed to sit for about a month before asphalt, and they laid our asphalt mid-July.just as they hoped, despite a lot of smoky and rainy days. We'll plan to get it sealed in October if the weather allows (they said to wait at least 90 days).

We appreciated that Krista was willing to come out and do the estimate on a day when we were home so we could talk about a small additional area that needed to be excavated, but she said she'd usually come out and do the measurements when she was in the area, no need to be home.

Our driveway probably wasn't too complicated but it included excavation right up to the edge of the foundation and a weird slope partway down, and they did everything very carefully. There was minimal mess after hauling away all the old material and after laying the asphalt.

They required payment of 1/2 the job on the day they showed up to excavate and the remaining 1/2 when the asphalt was laid. They took checks or cash. They provide a 1-year guarantee of their work (this was comparable to the other company we considered).

We felt the price was fair and there were no unexpected charges. A&Js price included the whole job and their process takes place inside one year, which was what we wanted! (Other companies do it in 2 phases, it seems.) Our neighbors were stopping by to ask about the job before they'd even finished!

They're scam! Watch out! Make sure you watch them working on your project or they're just putting a very thin layer over your old driveway or sidewalk, It will be peeling up just couple days later.

So grateful for the work done by this team. Our driveway was once a eye sore mud pit and is now beautifully paved and a huge asset to our home. They stayed in touch through the process and we patient while we worked through the decision of what we wanted.

A and J Paving came through! We purchased our dream home a few years ago. Unfortunately, we were in position where no seal coat could fix our driveway. We said if we are going to do this right then we need to dig it out and start from scratch. We started the search for the right company… we got several quotes and spoke with several well known companies from the region. We actually even made a selection, but there was a delay in following through with the job, due to other home project delays. I can’t begin to express how thankful we are for this delay. That delay gave us the opportunity to come in contact with A and J Paving…. The thing is we did our research and had particulars in how we wanted the driveway done. Tampered edges, SOLID, even correct pitch, depth, packing of materials, and aesthetically beautiful, etc. After discussing the project with their on-site project coordinator named Krysta we chose them. Her knowledge, confidence, honesty, patience.we built a genuine rapport. Although, we didn't know A and J prior to this.our gut and brain told us, it's a go! … then it came time to start the job. A and J co. And crew came out and ROCKED IT! Not only did the listen to our needs, they followed through … end result was perfection. We had high expectations and they exceeded them. A major difference is this is an Owner/Operator type business. Owners, Jay and Arthur are onsite with crew working right alongside one another. They seem to really care about quality and like the work they do… take pride in the end result. You can’t get any better than that.
