Ajisen Ramen, New York NY

I really enjoyed this restaurant. I popped in with my bf as I was craving ramen and was in the area to do some shopping, loved everything we got, super tasty! I will be back

Fast, cheap, in the heart of the city and super not crowded! The food was ok for its price but I was surprised with their jasmine tea! It was super good unlike many other places in the city. I wish there was an option to add some lemon in there. Maybe there was one I couldn’t find that on the menu. The service is trying their best I wish them good luck.

This place is very consistent with the quality of the ramen. I always enjoy a hearty bowl here.

Great Ramen I highly recommend (that's my original review of four years ago).
Now my new review, such a decline, I have been coming here since 2015 so far I have tried every dish and like it, I don't care how close it is or not to the original Japanese this is a staple in the neighborhood, now my past two visits were terrible, service is in decline management has to get it together and hire a better front of the house.

This was a recommendation from the hotel we are staying at, and oh my goodness! This place was fantastic! The food was fresh, filling, and cooked perfectly. We had Japanese fried rice to start. This was beyond perfection. We then ordered gyoza. It was on the same level as our first starter. After we had the asijen deluxe ramen. The short rib was so tender that the chopstick cut through it. The chashu was perfectly done. There is not one thing I can find that I didn’t thoroughly enjoy. The wait staff was friendly and accommodating. This is a great spot! I will be back!

Fast and tasty lunch spot. Many great items on the menu. I eat there often and get something different each time. Bathroom is always clean. The decor is a bit beat up, and that's part of its charm.

Hole in the wall but worth the stop. Food was delicious. They only have wheat ramen noodles so I got a side of rice instead and it was just as yummy.

I got the chicken teriyaki ramen with extra chicken. It was speedy, flavorful and cheap! $23 with 24% tip.

Ducked in here after a long drive into the city. This place was conveniently across the street from our hotel, I’d probably passed it dozens of times and been curious. The staff was welcoming and we were sat quickly. Ordered the seaweed salad and signature deluxe ramen. It was barely mediocre at best. Undeveloped broth, char sui was lacking in the flavor dept, the pork was almost all fat. The mushrooms were shitake instead of wood ear. I ate maybe a third since I was so hungry before having to stop and leave the rest. I’d probably never come back based on that experience alone. There are tons of other ramen places around the city that I’ve been to, and this has been the worse. I have never been to a ramen joint in the city that wasn’t at least pretty good.

I don't what the hype about this restaurant but this is not taste of Japanese food.
The katsudon chicken don't have the sweaty sauce. Normally when you cook the fried chicken with the oignon, the egg and the sweaty sauce.
If you know the real katsudon like in Japan you gonna be disappointed. The rice miss some water for the cook.

We take the spicy beef ramen, when we taste this one, it's look like Thai soup. They miss the umami style.

The curry chicken is too salty, the chicken was to slim fit.

The Spicy Ajisen ramen was DELICIOUS! I asked for a little extra spice and the spice level was PERFECT for me! I very much enjoyed my experience.

Food was alright, there was also a 20% service charge I wasn't aware of til the bill came not including the tip (not sure if that's normal around here)

Walked in with 6 people for a sunday dinner - no wait:). We got the spicy ajisen, ajisen and veggie ramen.nothing special in my opinion, def satisfied my cravings for something warm and brothy after an intense workout! Service was extremely fast and the servers were kind.for a large group, the gratuity is already included in the bill fyi!

Have been there twice now and have eaten well both times.my favorite remains the beef spicy frame. There is not much space, but if you come a little later, there is always a place

Hey yall this is my first review ever and I could not recommend this place more! The food is so good and its reasonably priced. Our waitress was so kind, helpful and clearly hardworking: a queen! Also whoever controls the aux deserves a raise lol

Very bad and rude customer service. These people have no decency to arrange an extra chair for their customers.
Very unprofessional and the ambience sucks.

I tried Spicy Beef Ramen, Spicy Ajisen Ramen and Ajisen Delux Ramen. I think Spicy Beef Remen was the best among those!

My family and I had a wonderful time trying this restaurant for the first time. Wait time was quick and we were seated. My brother and I had seafood ramen which was so good and flavorful. My mom had seafood fried rice and she loved every bite.
