A wonderful atmosphere, incredible food, and we love everyone who works there! Always a great experience.

This has been our go-to sushi place since we moved to Altamont in 2015. The food is always great, the service is friendly and efficient. I've never been disappointed.

Enjoyed Mother's Day take out from this restaurant. Staff was efficient and great with communication. Food was wonderful and we can't wait to go back after the Covid-19 lockdown is lifted. Highly recommended!

Wanting to support the very best restaurants the Capital Region has to offer. Every Friday, our little, locally run company, a company run by 5 women, choose our “Fun Food Friday” locally run restaurant, and this really was our choice today. I’m telling you! This may be our all-time favorite, local restaurant ever! It’s several miles out of the way to work, but SO worth it! Pad Thai, usually kinda so-so-, delicious! The sushi! OMG! So fresh and amazing! But even more. The person we placed our order with- may or not be the owner- Vivien, SO lovely! She went above and beyond to make our experience just amazing!

Amazing food, amazing staff. You can really feel how hard they work, and the results are outstanding.

Place it’s about 15 to 20 mins. I waited in the parking lot for 30 mins for my food when they told me it would be ready in 15 min. Good food but they need a better system for ordering. Ridiculous!

Wasn't blown away. It's a nice place and the sushi is good, but it's not taking the place of my go-to.

All the food is always fresh and delicious. The creative presentation of sushi plates is amazing. Wait staff is always very polite and attentive. Very happy to see they have moved into a larger space.

Akanomi is the best Japanese resturant in the Capital Region! I have had pretty much every menu item and have never been disappointed. The owners are so kind and the service is always phenomenal. 5/5 would recommend!

My family has been a frequent customer of akanomi. They continue to provide the best sushi and hot Cuisine in the capital district. With a great new location just doors down from their old spot they provide a relaxing atmosphere. I urge people to try it out. Great food and great prices!

Just wanted to thank you for replacing my order tonight and give a glowing review. I ordered soup and sushi and it leaked everywhere which wasnt Akanomis fault. I called them back to see if theyd give me more broth and they just made my entire order again fir me sushi and all. You guys didnt have to do that thank you! This place is top 3 in the area for sushi quality you will not be disappointed. They also just moved to a bigger unit in the same plaza and its so much bigger and nicer! Thanks again!

Their kani salad is truly amazing. Has the perfect spiciness to it. We also ordered the Tomo roll. My husband introduced me to it and wow another amazing dish. For dessert we ordered vanilla fried ice cream and fried cheesecake. It was delicious! Also their hot green tea so much for only a $1. Cant go wrong with it. DELICIOUS!

Have been going here for years. I highly recommend this place. Staff is efficient and friendly. I can always depend on having a good meal here. Lots of menu choices. Great!

Best sushi I have had in the area azing staff even better ambiance I was a bit skeptical at first since it's in a strip mall but they did a fantastic job if your a fan if habatchi, sushi and or delicacies check it out they have an amazing selection you can see on there site great prices and if you order enough they send your meal out on a boat.yes that's right a boat again check it out have a great day readers!

The servers are so polite and friendly, contrary to the Chinese restaurant nextdoor. The food is always fresh, tastes amazing, and generous serving portions all without making a dent in your wallet. I highly recommend, 15/10.

Unsuspecting, quaint hibachi GEM. Everything you'd expect from a Japanese steakhouse and MORE. Tight squeeze in this establishment but don't let the size fool you. Good things come in small packages. Some wine and beer selections, no cocktails. Service with a smile. Eat in or take out, the choice is yours.
