An excellent place to meet friends and share a meal and conversation. This is our fourth time here, food is excellent, the service is great and a great attentive staff.

I dined here with my wife for her birthday and we had a terrific meal. I had the paccheri as a primi and the whole sea bream as a secondi, it was a perfect combo. It’s a bustling dining room and you’re in tight if the restaurant is full. We enjoy that kind of atmosphere. I really appreciate their wine service. I like that they pour glasses at the table from the bottle directly as opposed to bringing you pre-filled glasses, I find that classy and more personal.

The ricotta cavatelli was really really good with a nice complex flavor. Polenta and fresh bread were also great. Great service too.

26 on Zagat. Considered one of the best Italian restaurants in nyc. And I have no idea why. Nothing BAD, but nothing actually good. Truly, I'm stumped.

This place is super cozy and has a wholesome feeling to it. The tables for twos were too close together though, and it wasn't very nice. The ricotta ravioli was good but a bit too salty. Also tried the funghi and polenta dish which was filled with delicious mushrooms, really good for a warm, comforting meal. Overall we had a nice dinner!

Amazing meal and excellent service! The roasted chards were awesome and the draft lager beer was really good.

I've been going to al di la Trattoria for many years with my partner being that's is just down the block from where we live - Usually for glass of wine sipped in the outside booth.

Well, that's done - never again as the staff service is very inattentive, even when catching our glances from us to indicate we would like our order taken, after sitting for more than 10 or more minutes.
Bus boys good, wait staff bad. We would look at the waiter walking by thinking they would finally take our order, but no acknowledgement at all. What the heck?

The food is ok, just really mediocre really, as we usually just go for a glass or 2 of wine.

The wines offered are pretty decent, but the service really stinks.

The noise from the street is distracting at times when sitting in the outside booth - the fire hydrant next to it provides a temporary place for people to pull over quickly, so it's constantly being used and thus extra noisy. The sidewalk is kind of grungy too, so it might be better to eat inside and wait forever there for someone to take your order.

Want a real Italian food experience?
In Brooklyn, go on 6th Ave between 10th and 14th street, or 8th Ave between 8th and 14th street and choose any of the Italian restaurants there for a way better experience - service and food wise.

Excellent food (zucchini salad, carpaccio, paccheri: all superb), with the exception of the beetroot ravioli, which lacked a certain something, in both taste and quantity. Avoid the negroni (how hard is it to make a 1: 1: 1 cocktail?), have a glass of wine instead. Forgettable desserts.

We had a very nice meal at al di la Trattoria. Service was friendly and the food was generally good. For the pastas the corn tortelli was the definite highlight - it was the best dish of the night. We also really enjoyed the black spaghetti and the hanger steak. The gnocchi was not our favorite, we would skip that if we returned. The cocktails were also quite good. The total price for the meal perhaps felt a bit high, but it was a nice dining experience and the food did not disappoint.

Rolling thru our tour of the world, well, Portugal and New York. We got to enjoy dinner in Brooklyn with a dear friend and she introduced us to their favorite Italian neighborhood stop.al di la Trattoria, they also have a market/bar on the back side. I started with a delicious Espresso martini and the ladies had a glass of red. My drink was great and 3 beans so I can live another day. The red wine was just ok. We started with their cuttlefish and oxtail over polenta. It's sea salty and delicious
My love ordered the Taglitille and Ragu, pasta is delicious made in house. The Ragu was ok a little flat. Our friend had the Braised Rabbit over polenta wow this is amazing. So flavorful and delicious. I had the Mushroom Polenta with a fried egg. It was woodsie and rich. And of course the polenta is great.
My love and I got to share some amazing news with our friend. We so much appreciate her excitement and genuine hope and love for our future. It's magical to share this adventure with you, can't wait to see what's next.thank you for saying yes, and really? Love you to the moon and back and 1,000 miles more.

A true Brooklyn neighborhood gem. Food, atmosphere and service all on point. Just a great causal location to have really good food without stress.

Food and service was outstanding. The front door constantly slams as each person enters and exits - so disturbing. This needs to be fixed ASAP!

Food was very good. Surprisingly the ox tail squid ink polenta was our favorite appetizer. The pork loin main was fabulous. The handmade black ink seafood pasta had good texture. The gnocchi was… different, the center filling could use some texture and more flavor as it felt like mush in your mouth. The pasta ragu was good. Will be back with friends definitely.

It’s been one of my most favorite neighborhood spots for years. But tonight unfortunately was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had. The restaurant was overcommitted to give proper service which meant we didn’t even get our basket of bread for almost half hour. Then everyone who made their orders after us got their food but we had to wait for almost another half hour to get our food - in the meantime the waitress didn’t even bother to come by to update us on the order. Then we got our food and my favorite vongole pasta had sand in the calm shells - I cried on my way home because I was so frustrated with this dining experience. Not sure when or if I’ll be coming back here. #fixit

One of our favorites in the neighborhood. Every dish is amazing, we always get a pasta dish and try something new every time. Never disappointed!

One of my favorite neighborhood spots. Haven’t been since pre-pandemic and the homemade pasta was heavenly

Amazing and unexpected delicious meal! It was rich and delicious! Everything we had was cooked to perfection.

Excellent service! The wine was paired perfectly. Bread in the mussels was so delicious. Great and comfortable ambiance. It's so beautiful. It was comfortable, but not too casual.

Literally never had a single bad bite of food ever at al di la. Not once. Price matches the quality and gracious service and the restaurant itself is very beautiful to be inside of. If the top is busy then asked to be sat at the wine bar! Usually theres room downstairs there:) prob my favorite restaurant in park slope
