Alamo / Astor Place Cube reviews
11 You can't turn the Astor Cube anymore. 0/10.
Honestly the entire point of Astor Cube is that you can spin it, and without it being able to spin, it has lost its purpose.
Chill little square with a coffee stand and food places nearby. And of course one of the iconic sculptures of NYC. No longer spins but still impressive.
I REALLY ENJOYED TWIRLING THE CUBE AT ASTOR PLACE BEFORE IT BECAME STATIONARY. THEY SHOULD INVEST IN FIXING IT. MANY GREAT MEMORIES THERE.
Wir haben sechs Jahre darauf gewartet zu würfeln und nun bewegt er sich nicht. Es ist wie das Leben oder das Filme machen.
Cube doesn't rotate anymore, hectic not so cosy square. Nice to see the metro entrance of the Netflix series Russian Doll in real life.
One of my favorite places in New York City. Back in the days used to go there just to chill with my friends and play hacky sack. That's so nostalgic. After we used to go to astor place to buy cds and patches for our back packs lol. Back in the late 90s lol
Fenced off right now. I think someone lives in there but I'm not totally sure. But otherwise, kinda just a cube. Not sure if there's artistic significance, but clearly very difficult to engineer.
Live show Pink Louds performed, although a bit for the teeny bopper crowd. Had a hint of humor and proved to be light hearted entertainment.
Really great resting spot with lots of tables and umbrellas that are surprisingly vacant at peak times. Also a good place to do a little work, hitching a ride on the Starbucks wifi across the street ;)
THis used to be so much more fun when it moved more easily. It is still cool but looks like placed art now vs found art.it is still a major meeting place for astor place.
Wow the cube here 50 years time flies, now there is a plaza.b4 just a tiny island for the cube. Can now sit here have a cup of great coffee from the Mud concession stand or Starbucks.and view tourist, residents come and going to work.nyu and cooper union students, grace school and LaSalle academy and Ukrainian school st George. Iits like a cross road of what is new here vs this growing up a run down nothing but this cube put here. The changes that have occur here in 50 years wow
